Marc Jacobs has been into fashion for a very long time now. He officially started designing in the early 80s. He was the creative director for the french giant label – Louis Vuitton from 1997 to 2013 and he also has Marc by Marc Jacobs and Marc Jacobs label under his belt.

Marc Jacobs is one of the most popular and most influential fashion designers in the world today. He is an award-winning fashion designer and I see him being around for a long time.

Donna Karen

Donna Karen is one of the most popular fashion designers in the world. She started her career in fashion in the late 60s, working as an assistant fashion designer for Anne Klein and has not looked back ever since. She launched her label in 1984 and went on to design modern clothes for modern people. Her award-winning label is known as the “Essentials Line” and it is very popular today.

Donna Karen is one of my favorite American fashion designers. I love her designs and her bags are to die for.

Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Hilfiger is to me the “god father of the polo shirt design. He is well-known for his classic polo shirts and his Tommy Jeans. Tommy Hilfiger is one of the best fashion designers in the world today. He started his career in fashion by working in retail at the age of 18 and has not looked back ever since.

Diane von Furstenberg popularly known as DVF is one of the top American fashion designers in the world. She started off in the fashion world in the 70s and she now has a fashion empire. DVF is best known for her iconic jersey wrap dress designs.

Michael Kors started off his career in fashion designing in Lothars (a popular New York city boutique) from the age of 19. This award wining American fashion designer is famous for designing American sportswear for women. I love his designs. His creativity is out of this world.

 

Rita Ora Is The Face Of DKNY MY NY Fragrance

Rita Ora is the face of DKNY’s new fragrance – MY NY. The campaign was shot in Times Square, New york by Francesco Carrozzini.

Speaking on the signature scent, Rita, in an interview with WWD said this about her first fragrance campaign with DKNY – “Donna’s a very powerful and confident woman. She comes across as very strong, and that’s what I love about her line. It’s a very confident, energetic line and it’s about women who speak their minds. The fragrance celebrates New York City, which is unlike anyplace else in the world. I love the idea of being part of a campaign that captures the spirit of New York and the stories of women here, passionate about their dreams.”

Donna Karen seems to be loving Rita Ora this year. She said “If Rita can’t sell it, I don’t know who can. You’ve got a young, hip woman of New York speaking about it, a woman who goes from day-to-night. I think Rita’s a great representative of DKNY. She’s full of life, she’s about what everyone wants to feel — energy. And I find her ageless. She’s like this Energizer bunny who can wear anything from track shoes to stilettos, DKNY to Donna Karan. I love the girl as a person, too. She walks the talk.”

The fragrance is set to sell for $48 to $88 and the ad campaign is set to debut for August 19th.
