I have used the MAC Fix+ for a while now. Infact I have gone halfway already and this is my first bottle. I won’t be buying this product again and I will tell you why but before I do that, here is what MAC has to say about the MAC Fix+:
A lightweight, mineral rich finishing mist that refreshes the skin and finishes makeup. Helps create an even surface for a smooth makeup application. Same Fix + formula with upgraded packaging.
Here are my thoughts:
PROS
- It gives your face a fresh look.
- It is quite handy when you have gone overboard with the powder or foundation, it takes away the powdery look.
- It can be used before you apply makeup; like a primer, and after makeup to freshen your face.
- I love the fragrance.
- It can be used to intensify eye shadow colours, just spray on the brush before applying the eye shadow.
CONS
- It is quite pricey at £15.50 for a bottle.
- The spray head broke after a couple of weeks so using it has been a pain. It pours out everywhere now.
I personally won’t recommend this product because of my experience and I won’t be using it again. I can’t get over the fact that the packaging isn’t good enough for such a pricey product.
Has anyone tried the MAC Fix+? What are your thoughts?
I haven’t tried it yet, I would have liked to, but they are so expensive, and expensive to break so quickly doesn’t really inspire me to go running buy one.

Yea it’s quite annoying to have an expensive product break just like that.
I think for all the pros you gave it it must be a good product, why not just message MAC with an update regarding your spray head breaking. You might even get a replacement! 🙂 x
It’s been too long Amy. I doubt I they will give me a replacement.
I have this one as well, the lady selling a foundation to me offered this and I love it, the skin looks so fresh and makeup so natural! It is perfect for someone who finds foundations drying their skin.
xx

Oh good to hear that. I have stopped using mine now because the spray head is spoken but it did the job the times I used it.
I won’t be trying their studio fix to be honest, that’s the same bottle as their liquid foundations which just run out of it so I can’t even imagine it being used to spritz a mist onto your face!
I agree. It runs out quite quickly.
I’m so happy with mine! But I have to agree, for this specific one, their packaging is terrible. For the amount of money we spend.
It is ridiculous really.
I havent tried it yet but with the price and what i have heard, wont try it yet.
Lol. Don’t blame you hun x
This was actually on my shopping list this month, hmm mixed comments. .. do I buy don’t I? Lol x
I haven’t heard of or tried this, but wouldn’t buy if the packaging is no good. Shame to spend money then not be able to use it.
Yea it is quite annoying to be honest.
I find the idea of putting this on after make up incredibly bizarre. Someone please explain?!
The whole idea is you spray it on your face lightly after applying makeup. It should help the makeup stay on all day.
I haven’t heard of the Urban Decay one. Will look that up.
You would expect the packaging to work a bit better for a premium brand like Mac! Such a shame!
Exactly. A big shame.
I love Mac Fix+ and use it all the time! It’s a shame your packaging broke, but it was clearly faulty so maybe you should try taking it back to see what they say? x
I have had it for too long to take it back so I won’t bother. I can’t even find the receipt.
I have never used this product before but I would assume the broken bottle is just a bad luck 🙁
Yea maybe. Still annoying though.
I haven’t heard of this before but I the packaging does look a bit boring for Mac. Normally their items are gorgeously wrapped and packed.
Exactly. I am not a happy bunny.
