Garden & Home Update

Some weeks ago, I wrote about how our garden is yet to be done, if you missed that post, click here. Well, we are working on it now, so crossing my fingers and toes, by next summer, our garden should be summer-ready. Yayyy, bring on summer 2016, I really can’t wait.

Garden aside, there is still a lot of home improvements to be done. When we moved into this house 2 years ago, it looked like we had more than enough space compared to our previous flat, but as soon as Naomi and Nathan came along, we ran out of space almost immediately. They came and took over our lives and closets. There is no space for anything else now.

At the moment, we need a wall to wall wardrobe to house all the many clothes, shoes, bags and other accessories we have as our current long-suffering wardrobe is struggling to keep up with us. However, we currently have no space for a wall to wall wardrobe in our home. We will have to wait until the kids grow out of their cot beds and into loft beds, then we will have some more space. I am really looking forward to that.

While doing some online shopping (my next best thing after blogging). I came across the bedroom furniture leading brand – Room to Grow and I was so impressed with the room furnitures, loft beds and bedroom accessories on offer. Room to Grow offer a great selection of children’s loft beds, which are great for maximizing small spaces, as they can be transformed easily into a work area, a cosy sitting area or even a storage area. As we are out of space already, the loft beds will be a life saver soon.

Here are three of my favourites bedroom looks from Room to Grow:

Parisot Uber Bed

Pink Bedroom

I love the touch of pink here. This is so girly and pretty. Perfect for a little girl.

Kids Avenue – High Tek Bed

I love the colour combination here. This is so modern and sophisticated. Love it.

Solitare Ultimate Study Bed

Solitare Loft Bed

I love the white and red going on here. Minimal and chic.

I am looking forward to having some space back. I have a lot of designs in my head already.

What do you think of these designs?  How do you maximise your home space with kids? Sound off in the comment section pls.

Thanks for reading.

  1. I’m in the same exact predicament. There is simply not enough room for two adults and two kids, it’s getting ridiculous in fact! I love the concept of room to grow and will look into something like this for my sons room. He’s 6 and outgrowing his room fast!

  2. I know what you mean about running out of space. We thought we had ample of it when we moved into our much larger house 10 years ago (wow, I can’t believe it was so long ago!). Within a year or two we were bursting at the seams – and still are! Good luck with your renovations. Tx

  3. Where did all the space go? Kids don’t just fill up your heart with joy…they take over everything. From time, to energy , to money and your space. Oh yes, even your space.

  4. Ahhh I totally know what you mean – there’s no room for our stuff! We moved into a new-built apartment a year ago, it was all nice and tidy. But after a year we have so much more clothes and toys and it’s all on the floor! I just did an Ikea online shop to get some more storage, hopefully that will help! Sabrina xx #UKBloggers

  5. Kids Avenue – High Tek Bed is my favourite by far! That’s the sort of room that I would like to have for myself. Nice and organised and left with lots of extra room to do as I please.

  6. I love these, definitely what I’d look for when I have kids. Every piece of furniture I buy, from the beds to my coffee table, is with storage and saving space in mind – and it’s only me, my partner and our two cats lol!
