I am planning my next vacation in my head. Nothing has been booked yet but I am thinking somewhere warm and sunny like Dubai or Vegas would be fantastic. Especially now as the sunshine is gradually leaving the UK, it would be nice to escape to a warm region. The online travel specialist; Love Holidays is carrying out a research on people’s travel behaviours; what motivates us to go abroad, do we keep to baggage allowance and what your beauty travel essentials are?
The weather plays a major role in deciding where I spend my holiday. Since we hardly ever have good weather in the UK, I tend to opt for warmer countries where it is nice and sunny, and where I can dress up in my summer outfits and rock my sunnies for some days.
I always try to travel light but most times I end up with excess luggage, especially now that we have kids. It is so hard to travel light when going on holiday. There is just so much junk we need to go with, it is unbelievable. Then we come back with even more junk, guess because we love to shop too much.
The online travel specialist; Love Holidays will is carrying a research I cannot afford to go on holiday without my beauty products. They may be bulky to travel with but I would be lost without them. Here are my beauty travel essentials:
MAKEUP
I travel with my entire makeup bag. Crazy but true. It makes my life easier because I can’t be bothered picking out what to travel with and what not to. I may have to change this in future when my beauty products increase, they seem to be increasing a lot these days , but for now, I pack them.
HAIR
I like rocking a simple hairstyle when I am on holiday because I usually spend a lot of time relaxing in the pool or on a beach. Any fussy hairstyle will be messed up pretty quickly. I usually take a hair spray, a hair polish and a V05 Extreme Style Rework Fibre Putty with me depending on the hairstyle I have on.
SKIN
When I go on holiday, I make sure I look after my skin just as I would, so I take these products with me:
- Fair and White Moisturiser which contains SPF.
- Vita Coco Coconut Oil
- Garnier makeup remover
- Marykay Face Toner
- Some cotton wool
- Huggies Baby Wipes
I cannot go on holiday without any of these items. Guess this explains why I always end up with an excess luggage.

Hahaha although I never get the chance to travel, I’d definitely want to take my whole makeup bag too – can’t imagine being without it except my luggage would probably be filled half way because of it. LOL x

I tend to take away quite a lot of make up as I still like having a choice when I go away, although I haven’t done a proper sun holiday for quite a few years. Have fun where ever you decide to go! x

Yea I agree with you, it is better to carry the whole beauty box not to be short of anything. I have been in that position before where I had to be looking for lipstick and lip balm. Thanks for the beautiful tips baby.

Just did a post on what I packed on our weekend break 😀 I try to take samples on weekend breaks… or multi-use products. So I’d say I travel quite light…
I wish I could travel light. I will keep trying..
years and years of practice 😀 (but you should see the amount of clothes I take with me…)
I take travel sizes of my favourite products, and save travel samples too.
Oh good. I never remember to get travel samples.
I always bring 4 shades of lippie, a tinted moisturized, collagen cream SPF lotion, mascara, gel liner and a small blush… cud never go wrong with this necessities, if i’ve got extra luggage allowance left then i dump in other stuff haha!

Oh I’d love to go on holiday somewhere nice and hot. It seems our British summer lasted for about two weeks! I’m pretty lazy when I’m on holiday; I figure no one I know is going to see me, so I take a few bare minimum things with me and leave the rest at home! Ray xx

I think I’d be the same and take my whole make up collection with me! I don’t use any products on my hair really apart from Argan oil which I love. I read you use coconut oil. I’ve heard so many good things about this product!

I used to be very exaggerated when packing as I used to bring more things than needed but lately I have learnt to travel light and I bring only my favorite products in travel sizes containers.x
Oh good. I never plan these things in advance. I should really get travel containers but I am always worried I would miss something.
I don’t actually pack much makeup when I go away! But clothing is a completely different story! Always pack too much, and sometimes they’re not suitable for the weather!
Yea I pack so many clothes as well too…Lol.
Coconut oil is such a must for anything! So many endless opportunities with it. And don’t worry, I bring my entire make-up bag with me too

Oh, I always have a trouble when traveling cause I want to take all my beauty products with me. I try to put them in a small bottles and take a little bit of everything with me. 😀
