Product Review: Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Eau de Parfum

Viktor & Rolf Bonbon

I am a perfume lover, always have and always will be. I love smelling good, and I like being around amazing smelling people. I collect a lot of perfumes but I don’t keep all the bottles, wish I had the space to keep them all. However, the only perfume bottle I am 100% going to be keeping for a long time think is my new Marc Jacobs Decandence, and if you have seen the bottle, you will know why. I will be writing a review on that perfume soon, so keep your eyes peeled, but for now, we are going to discuss Viktor & Rolf’s Bonbon Eau de Parfum.

I first came across the Viktor & Rolf perfume brand when I used their first perfume – Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum, some years ago. That was my first time hearing of the brand, and the perfume was recommended by the sales girl at the perfume counter at that time. I decided to give it a go. Thank God I did, because I got to discover how amazing Viktor & Rolf perfumes really are. So when Bonbon was released, I knew I had to have it.

Viktor & Rolf

Here is how the brand describes this fragrance:

BONBON, a timeless sensation inviting a pure and absolute pursuit of pleasure. She who wears Bonbon, dresses herself in perfume whilst creating her own story. She is empowered, beautiful and complete.

Caramel characterizes the scent’s evolution. From inception to completion, the caramel notes mature from a sharp, edible top note to softer and milkier in the middle than darkening to add depth to the base note. A pure delight, a haute confection.

Here are my thoughts:

PROS

  1. The bottle is so beautiful and unique, shaped as a butterfly. I am contemplating keeping the bottle once am done with the perfume.
  2. It smells amazing. It has a very sweet fragrance, and I get so many compliments when I wear this perfume.
  3. It is long-lasting. I wear this perfume quite regularly and it stays on all day.

CONS

  1. The price. My 30ml bottle costs me a whooping £50 at Debenhams, and that is the smallest bottle available. However if you know anything about the Viktor & Rolf perfume brand, you will know they do not come cheap. A 50ml bottle costs £70.50, while a 90ml bottle goes for £96. The good thing about this is because it smells so good, and is long-lasting, you won’t need to spray too much. A little here and there will do for the entire day.

I recommend this perfume to any lady thinking of what perfume to try this spring/summer. If you have the funds to splash or just feeling like spoiling yourself, Viktor & Rolf Bonbon is the perfume to get. It is worth every penny, trust me.

What do you think of this perfume? Have you tried any perfumes from the Viktor & Rolf brand?

  1. I love VR Flowers bomb. For over 10 years I was Faithfull to Armani Diamonds. But then I received a VR flowerbomb sample in the post and instantly fell in love. I could not stop myself from buying the full size product. It very quickly became my primary fragrance.

  2. Hi there, how are you? I have to say, I really do love the look/design of the bottle. It so pretty. I need to try this out. xx

  3. £50? *covers eyes*. I really miss perfume! My damn skin is just too sensitive since I had a tiny human! This looks fab though and I had never heard of Viktor & Rolf!

  4. I haven’t tried any of them, but I will do next time i’m at the perfume counter, I’ve never been a perfume wearer, but when i’m in a queue and there are so many different scents right under my nose, it makes me think that I need to find something that I love to wear and buy a bottle!

  5. I am in love with the bottle design first and foremost and secondly I think this is the perfume I was spritzed with as I walked past the perfume counter in Selfridges and it was gorgeous!!
