Product Review – Tangle Teezer Detangling Hairbrush for Thick, Wavy, Afro & Curly Hair

Tangle Teezer Hairbrush Image

I had the privilege of trying the Tangle Teezer Detangling Hairbrush for thick, wavy and afro hair, some days ago, and I am well impressed. For those who do not know, Tangle Teezer is a designed, manufactured and made in Britain brand, by celebrity colourist – Shaun Pulfrey, which makes it even cooler. I love seeing ‘Made in Britain’ brands because they are so few and far between these days, which I think is so sad. So I am very excited to review the Tangle Teezer Detangling Hairbrush for Thick, Wavy, Afro & Curly Hair.

This brand has succeeded in revolutionising the hairbrush market. Hairbrushes have never looked this good.

Tangle Teezer has a variety of hairbrushes available but I went for this Detangling Hairbrush because I have thick afro hair, and this fit the description of the perfect hairbrush for me.

Here is what Tangle Teezer has to say about the Detangling Hairbrush for Thick, Wavy & Afro Hair:

We love your big hair and so should you. That’s why we’ve created a detangling brush just for you. The Thick & Curly Detangling hairbrush is bursting with big hair love.

With its longer, stronger Firmflex teeth technology that reach right through to your roots, it makes detangling and de-frizzing afro, curly and thick hair a wonderful and effortless thing.

Use on wet or dry hair for instant and painless detangling. Simply brush through from roots to ends. The Firmflex teeth will bend and flex just enough to cope with even the thickest and curliest of locks, smoothing the cuticle as they travel.

Here are my thoughts on this hairbrush:

PROS

  1. I love the packaging and the colour. So very pretty.
  2. It is compact and so easy to find in my handbag.
  3. It is perfect for my curly hair. It brushes out all the knots, detangles it quickly, with no pain, and it doesn’t rip my hair out.
  4. It works perfectly on both wet and dry hair.
  5. The entire Tangle Teezer collection is easily accesible in many stores including Boots and Amazon for £10.99.

CONS

None.

I honestly cannot fault this Tangle Teezer Detangling Hairbrush at all. I love it. I think it is super cute, and it performs brillantly! No wonder the likes of Victoria Beckham, Cara Delevingne, and members of the Royal Family all use it.

I recommend this hairbrush to anyone with curly, wavy or kinky afro hair. It is worth every penny.

  1. No I haven’t. I have seen this in stores though and looked at it. Thank you for the review of it. I can go and buy one now. I was unsure as I had tried many different hair brushed before and not been impressed by the majority.

I did though recently sucumb and bought a hair brush with what I call a polo mint hole in it which is also very good especially for when drying hair. I like that too

  2. Wow, great review! My daughter has one of these and I’ve been meaning to try it. I never use a brush in my hair, just a comb because my hair is very thick and brushes tend to just make it look worse. I’m definitely going to give this one a go though.

  3. I’ve never seen or heard of them before. It’s great that you like them so much. A good honest review 😀

  4. We always use the tangle teezer, would and have recommended it to family and friends! my little girl loves it too as it is easy for her to hold.
