Dermalogica Age Smart Products Image

If you have been reading this blog for a while now, then you will know how obsessed I am with Dermalogica products. I have reviewed a few of them now, and I still have many more on my wish list. Dermalogica products can do no wrong in my eyes. They are simply perfect. And the Super Rich Repair & the Skinperfect Primer are the best. I have used both products for weeks now, and I can honestly testify to their goodness in my life, hahaha.

Let me dissect them one by one, starting with the Super Rich Repair Mosituriser.

Here is what Dermalogica has to say about this product :

Dermalogica’s richest moisturiser! Cold and dry environmental conditions can leave skin dry and sore, particularly in winter. For an instant boost, use this super-concentrated, heavyweight cream. It moisturises, soothes, protects and fights inflammation, relieving any irritation and giving your skin its healthy glow back.

Apply to face and neck with light, upward strokes. Wait for cream to absorb before applying additional products. Use once or twice daily.

Here are my thoughts:

PROS

  1. I love the packaging. It is compact and comes in a pump, which I find easy to use.
  2. It smells amazing.
  3. I apply it once a day, at night, before applying my Dermalogica Overnight Retinol Repair, and my skin feels super smooth and moisturised in the morning.
  4. It is a very rich mosituriser. It absorbs quickly and reduces fine lines.
  5. It is fantastic for dry and dehydrated skin.

CONS

None. It is a fantastic night mosituriser. It currently retails at £62.85, but you can grab it on sale at Beautifully Gorgeous for £52.54.

I have heard about the Dermalogica Skinperfect Primer from one of my lovely readers – Kefkat. She mentioned she was a fan of Dermalogica primer, so I decided to try it.

Here is what Dermalogica has to say about this primer:

This best-selling two-in-one primer not only prepares your skin for make-up application but also helps protect it from harmful UVA and UVB sunlight. Specially formulated to enhance your skin’s overall health, it smooths away fine lines and leaves skin looking radiant and full of luminosity.

Here are my thoughts:

PROS

  1. It is a two-in-one product, primer and sun protection. It can be worn before applying makeup or alone.
  2. I apply this primer on top of my mosituriser before applying makeup. My makeup stays in place all day thanks to this primer.
  3. It reduces the appearance of fine lines.
  4. It is light weight, and leaves my skin feeling smooth.
  5. My foundation just glides through once the primer has been applied.

None as you would have guessed. This primer is the TRUTH!

  1. I have only heard good things about Dermologica. Looking after your skin with the best products for it is a sensible investment isn’t it.

  2. I used to work with Dermalogica products, way back, it amases me how the product range has grown. funnily enough I have been thinking of buying back into the Dermalogica ethos and have two salons in my town that seel it, so I have no excuse!
cannot wait for pay day now!

  3. Aw bless you and thank you for the mention. My proper name is Carol btw.

Kefkat (or like that with a number on or Keffie etc) is a signature name of mine if you see round the internet it is most likely me.

The name has a meaning. It comes from Kefelonia and Katelios where we holiday every year (Greek Islands) Take the first 3 letters of each word and you get kefkat 🙂

Anyway I digress. I am so glad you have tried and loved too. I couldn’t live without the primer especially. It has a tan hint in too I believe which is great for us fairer ladies.

All the dermalogica products are fab I agree. I am gradually swapping over my Elemis products to all of dermalogica’s

  4. I’ve heard many good things about Dermalogica products but the price has always put me off. I guess it’s worth it though if they really work and you seem very impressed!

    • Hello fashion were doing an offer on; I don’t know if they still are.

The offer was sign up to the magazine for 6 months on offer at £6 for 6 months and get a set of dermologica products worth £32 as a gift.

Maybe worth a look to see if they are still doing it. It worked for me. The gift alone sold me to sign up or 6 months.

Though the products are pricey they last along time so it is the initial layout which I expensive. Overall the time they last in compare to cheaper brands means there isn’t much difference in price. Hope that helps. Yes I do a cost effective when I buy a new product to see if it is worth it.

  5. Great review! I haven’t tried Dermalogical facial products but I just got a gift set of some their body products and I’m excited to give it a try.

  7. This sounds great. I have never tried any of Dermalogica products but thus primer is a must for me. Will give it a go.

  8. I’ve not heard of Dermalogica but they do sound pretty good. Thanks for sharing your opinion on the primer.

  9. I need to check these out! I am so bad for using products and don’t use any kind of moisturiser or primer but I so know I need to. These sounds perfet for my sensitive skin. x

  10. It’s a brand I’ve been watching but i haven’t tried it yet even though I’m always seeing great things written. It’s on my radar when my current algenist products run out
