I am slowly turning to a beauty/makeup junkie, I know! But I can’t resist trying out new products. I love exploring, so the fashion and beauty world is like my playground. I don’t think I will ever get tired of reviewing products. I can see myself doing this for a very long time……
I reviewed the famous Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in a Rich Cocoa shade some days ago and I have been eager to tell you all about it. I am always in the pursuit of the next best foundation to try. I think the foundation is the base of the makeup, so I think it is very important to pay attention to the base/foundation, so you get the entire makeup right.
Here is what Estee Lauder has to say about this product:
Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF 10
Keeps skin looking fabulous, breathing comfortably through heat, humidity and activity without changing colour, fading or coming off on clothes. Natural matte finish and SPF10 sunscreen to protect skin.
Here are my thoughts on this foundation:
PROS
- It provides great coverage.
- It contains SPF 10.
- The Rich Cocoa shade is the right shade for my skin tone.
- I love the natural matte finish.
- It is long-lasting. It stayed on and in place all day. I can see myself using this little 30 ml bottle for months.
- It is great for all skin types.
CONS
- No pump so it be a bit tricky to use.
Overall, I recommend this Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. It is the best foundation I have ever used in my life. It currently retails at £30.
This is my first time trying a Laura Mercier product, so you can imagine my excitement. I have heard a lot about the makeup brand and I fell in love with this lipstick as soon as I laid eyes on it. I went for the Laura Mercier Sexy Lips Sheer Lip Colour. Here are my thoughts on this lipstick:
PROS
- It has a soft sheer beautiful shade.
- It stays on for hours, very long-lasting.
- I love the texture of this lipstick.
- I love the cute packaging.
CONS
None. I can’t fault this product at all. I recommend this lipstick to anyone in need of a soft lip colour. This Laura Mercier is the truth, and it comes in various shades. It currently retails at £19.50.

No pump? That is a killer right there for me. I just switched from a Dior foundation to a Lancome version and I’m loving it. Maybe I’ll give this a try.
I love the color of the lipstick but my lip allergies which I developed few months back won’t even allow me to go near it. Maybe you can find a product for me Stella. An organic lipstick. My lips and I are miserable. I now use aquaphor. Lol!
It is a lovely foundation.The best I have ever used. Sorry to hear about your lip allergies. I am currently experiencing hay fever so I can relate. I will look at for organic lipsticks for you xo

I do love a pump foundation over a straight bottle. My favourites are Liz Earle Signature (for day-to-day, sheer finish) and Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation (when my skin needs some extra help!)

that’s annoying there is no pump but overall it sounds nice and I love trying new foundations.
It is great. Worth trying.
My mum used to swear by Estée Lauder , I have never tried it myself. I love the shade of the lipstick, I really need to invest in some new make up as I hardly wear it anymore x

I am loving that foundation too. I never get tired of trying new beauty products. I personally see trying new beauty products as an adventure. The only problem is that I never seem to get rid of the olds one. Haha

Love your review on the foundation, I really want to try double wear but the darker skin shades for the foundation are literally non existent in Australia 🙁
I can imagine. We only started getting them in the UK a few years ago. I hope they come over to Australia soon.
