This Thing Called Acne

Hot Pink Image

This thing called acne, do you struggle with it? I have always struggled with acne for as long as I can remember. And I know many women and men that have had to struggle and still struggle with acne. So I know it is a common issue. You would think a woman like me about to hit her thirties won’t have to still deal with this things but I do. My acne flares up and down depending on my state of mind, the time of the month, my diet and how many hours of sleep I get. And sometimes I am relaxed, well-rested, and not that time of the month but it still flares up, so I really don’t know.

Many of us have to deal with acne and the scars some of them may leave behind, which is the part I detest the most. When it comes to acne and the scars, I try to take care of myself as much as I can and let makeup do the rest. A well applied makeup does a good job of hiding most of the acne, and good filters gets rid of the rest so your pictures look good, that is if you are that worried about them.

I had a friend once tell me to make use of some photo editing software to get rid of some of my pimples/acne before uploading the photos on the blog. I found the comment more naive than annoying so I let it slide but it made me reflect on how we women worry so much about our looks and the looks of others.

Well it is good to know that our acne scars can be wiped away thanks to the Laser Acne Scar Removal. This treatment can get rid of acne scars on any part of the body in a matter of 3/5 sessions. Anyone can have it down. It is suitable for all skin types. There is no downtime required, and only minimal discomfort has been reported.

I think this Laser Acne Scar Removal treatment is a fantastic treatment. It is definitely worth doing. Apart from getting rid of acne scars, this treatment improves the condition of the skin and the overall texture, which is a win-win for me.

  1. I think Acne is such a personal thing, some are comfortable with, some are not. My best friend growing up had Acne really badly and she tried in vain to hide it because she was embarrassed by it, now, even though she has flare ups, no one mentions it, comments etc… it is part of who is she, but she isn’t defined by it x

  2. I don’t suffer from acne but I’ve seen for some it can lead to such self esteem issues which is sad. I get a spot here and there and moan about the pigmentation afterwards but it’s nothing compared to others who truly suffer. It’s good if people can afford treatment to help rid acne and scars x

  3. From what I’ve learned in med school, a lot of times acne can be hormonal. Personally, as a woman of color I refuse to have someone who isn’t a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon do any procedure on my skin especially my face. Skin of color is more susceptible to scarring, hyper/hypopigmentation, keloids, amongst other things and I would want to know that I’m working with someone to address these issues. With that being said, dermatologists and plastic surgeons can get pricey so thats another factor.

P.S. I’m sorry you’re friend made that comment. I have acne like you and mine was hormonal related, whch my doctor discovered after running some blood hormone tests.

  4. I use to suffer with acne lots when I was younger but after I found face products that wouldn’t break me out and stuff that got rid of it I need used or tried anything else now I will just get the odd one on my chin or crease of my nose

  5. I am nearly 40 and I have this huge pimple on my chin just now! I never got acne as a teenager, but it seems to like me now that I’m nearly middle aged. :/

  6. I don’t get acne, but I get dry skin instead. This sounds amazing though and I’ll definitely be passing it onto my friends who do get it. If you find something to help dry skin, I’ll be excited to read it. xx

  7. Suffered and still suffering tbh (I’m 21)! Have you personally undergone this Laser Acne Scar Removal Treatment? I wondered if you could talk more about your personal experience with it and results.

Great post btw, thanks for sharing

  8. Luckily I don’t suffer it as much now but when I did I would have loved this, I hated my skin and hated going out the door.

  10. I was thinking of doing Laser for my acne/scarring too. I am still weighing the pros and cons but in the mean time I’ve been using a dermaroller from Banish Acne Scars and their vitamin C serum. It has helped a lot to fade my scarring and even worked to get rid of some active acne (I have a before and after on my blog). I’ll probably still derma roll even after I get laser so that my topical treatments absorb better. I would love to see some of your progress photos down the line! Thanks for the post 🙂
