I have fallen in love with Estee Lauder products. I tried the Double Wear Foundation some months ago, and I fell completely in love with the product. It is the best foundation I have ever used, and I have used loads. So when my Mary Kay powder finally finished, I decided to try the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Powder and I am glad I did.
Here is the product description:
8-hour staying power. Flawless all day. This worry-free powder makeup stays fresh, looks natural and won’t change colour, even through nonstop activity. Glides on silky smooth, stays on comfortably, without feeling dry. For a continuously flawless look, without touch-ups.
I went for the rich cocoa shade, same shade as my foundation. Here are my thoughts:
PROS
- It is long-lasting. It stayed on all day. I didn’t have to touch-up.
- It gives great coverage and natural finish.
- I love the compact package.
- It is readily available in various stores and in various shades, which is great.
- A little goes a long way.
CONS
None. Some may see it as pricey at £33 but I see it as value for money.
I apply my powder with a powder brush as you can see and the flawless matte finish is second to none. I am loving this Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Powder SO MUCH! Estee Lauder is gradually becoming the makeup brand to beat at the moment. I think the brand is slowly knocking MAC off the no 1 spot. Do you agree? It is a more expensive brand but many are happy to cough out that bit extra for quality. I know I am.

Beautiful. I love the flawless finish. It is really nice on you. Though could be pricey, I love the quality, the compact packaging and the fact that it is long lasting.Will definitely get a set. Thanks for sharing.

I love Estee Lauder Products and this is also my favourite setting powder! It gives such a natural finish without making it look too cake-y!

I’m a big fan of Estee Lauder double wear foundation but haven’t tried any of the other products. I’d definitely give this a go as it looks really easy to apply.

Great review – I am so glad you enjoy the Estee Lauder double Wear stuff as I know loads do. I have dry skin so nothing like this works for me – usually just clings to dry patches but skin changes and I know that I would definitely use this product if my skin was less dry x

I’ve heard lots of good things about this. In fact my cousin was talking to me about it yesterday lol. Great to see that it is long lasting. I have to wear a mask in work all day and find my make up wears off on it x

I think that quality is important, especially when it comes to things you put on your face. I always hated foundation because they would slide off, go patchy, not cover any imperfections etc – since I bought my Tarte foundation, I am converted. It does everything I have needed a foundation to – so I think paying £30 ish for the DW powder that actually works, is justifiable, you know? You get what you pay for!

While I don’t wear make-up, I do use powder and I like the look of this one. Currently using Revlon, might switch to this when it’s finished 🙂
