Keeping Up With the Kids: Winter Fashions

Dressing a baby is about as much fun as putting an octopus into a string bag sometimes, and while babies are not fashionistas, your talking toddler is likely to have an opinion on their own wardrobe. Little girls like to demand sparkly dresses and glittery shoes, and little boys love looking dapper in little shirts and dungarees. However, when winter rolls around, sparkly dresses and shirts need replacing, as they don’t hold up against snow and strong winds.

Party On This Season

Winter warmers of chunky knit cardigans, thick fleecy coats and matching hat and scarf sets are always on the rails as the colder days draw in and keeping the kids warm is the priority. Fashion-conscious little girls need not worry, though! Sparkly dresses can still feature in the winter months when paired up with patterned tights and smart winter boots. With parties for Halloween, Bonfire Night fireworks, Christmas and New Year filling up your child’s social calendar, you’ll need sparkly colourful wellies and sturdy shoes to keep those toes warm and brighten up even the coldest evening.

Snow Is Falling

Santa is coming again with Christmas patterns, special Christmas jumpers and ice-blue knits and thick tights on the agenda. Pair a thick pair of woollen trousers with a reindeer Christmas jumper for a smart warm look on your little boy this Christmas. Those Christmas party dresses won’t wear themselves, and joining a gorgeous red dress with a glittery faux-fur wrap can jazz up any little girl’s Christmas day outfit. Wrap up warm with toasty fleece-lined gloves and bobble hats for girls and boys and watch their faces light up in the glow of the fireworks at New Year.

Drab to Fab!

Winter fashion doesn’t have to be drab, with bold colours decorating knitted clothes and thicker leggings and glitter twinkling through the thread. There’s nothing like splashing out on a special Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve outfit for your little one, and finding kids designer wear with great prices attached doesn’t have to be difficult.

Layer Up

Looking for kids designer wear doesn’t have to be taxing when there are so many options to keep them toasty this winter. Finding fluffy onesies or all-in-one winter outdoor wear for your newborn baby isn’t difficult, and making sure they’re wearing the right number of layers gets easier when the vests and baby sleepsuits they wear are brightly coloured and thermal to keep the heat in. Children can rock the snowflake look this winter with designer clothes that keep them warm. Splash out on fleece-lined pyjamas and slippers for cosy nights at home. Summer may bring out the sunshine colours, but winter brings in the cool greens and blues that scream cosy. Dress your kids for the season and keep them stylish and toasty at the same time this winter!

  1. There are so many pretty outfits out there right now, I have managed to get my youngest niece a really cute party dress that I want to wear, never mind her!

  2. Although I don’t have my own baby/ octopus I can completely relate to this from having a goddaughter! She likes to wear wellies in summer and dresses in winter… like you mentioned the compromise is finding some good thick tights to go with those lovely dresses now it’s gotten so cold Xx

  3. My girls are at that age now where they tell you if you bought something they don’t like they won’t wear it unless you get it in a certain colour. My youngest has now decided shes going to pinch my bobble hats

  4. I do not have any kids to dress up but I remember my sister when she was young she was and still is too over opinionated when it came to choosing her outfits
