OOTD: The Oversized Trend & the Petite Woman

I got back from my birthday vacation from Milan yesterday, and I had a good time. I have been sharing snaps from my holiday on Instagram, so you can catch up on my Milan trip on Instagram. I will also been sharing some of my holiday snaps on the blog along with details of my trip soon, so look out for that post.

I am now trying to get back into the swing of things. I travelled with my iPad Pro and Keyboard, hoping I would be able to get some work done but I was unable to. I was having so much fun, I didn’t even have time to publish a blog post. Yes Milan was that good, and I can’t wait to go back. The shops were so amazing. I was like a kid in a candy store!

I took these photos in Essex some weeks ago. It was a cold wet day, but the rain stopped just in time for me to get these shots taken.

I have fallen in love with the oversized trend. I have always liked the trend, but I seem to be picking more and more oversized pieces lately. As a petite lady, I find it odd that they look good on me. I previously wrote about style tips for the petite woman, and it is funny I broke a few rules here. But it is allowed for an oversized look.

This is the trend I am into for now. Who knows what I will be into next month!

However, there is a very thin line between looking stylish and looking frumpy when it comes to rocking oversized pieces. So thin, many cross it everyday without knowing. I think I should write a post on that, what do you think?

  1. You look fantastic as always! But as a size 6/8 I really don’t suit the over sized trend, I feel it just leaves me looking as though I am wearing clothes that are too big for me!!

  2. I love your look. The oversized style looks great on you. I am on the petite side so I am now encouraged that I can fit into the oversized trend. Great.

  3. I love your look Stella. You look fab as always. I think the oversized look can work if you do wear it with appropriate clothing.

Meaning just 1 over sized peice, as you are. I like over sized clothes. Just either the top or the trousers. Anymore than 1 peice is too much

  4. I like the over-sized look but it does depend on the top I’m wearing as some aren’t flattering. I love your leggings!

  5. I love this trend but you do have to think about the outfit. I think you’ve done a great job by balancing the outfits with different silhouettes
