I got back from my birthday vacation from Milan yesterday, and I had a good time. I have been sharing snaps from my holiday on Instagram, so you can catch up on my Milan trip on Instagram. I will also been sharing some of my holiday snaps on the blog along with details of my trip soon, so look out for that post.
I am now trying to get back into the swing of things. I travelled with my iPad Pro and Keyboard, hoping I would be able to get some work done but I was unable to. I was having so much fun, I didn’t even have time to publish a blog post. Yes Milan was that good, and I can’t wait to go back. The shops were so amazing. I was like a kid in a candy store!
I took these photos in Essex some weeks ago. It was a cold wet day, but the rain stopped just in time for me to get these shots taken.
I have fallen in love with the oversized trend. I have always liked the trend, but I seem to be picking more and more oversized pieces lately. As a petite lady, I find it odd that they look good on me. I previously wrote about style tips for the petite woman, and it is funny I broke a few rules here. But it is allowed for an oversized look.
This is the trend I am into for now. Who knows what I will be into next month!
However, there is a very thin line between looking stylish and looking frumpy when it comes to rocking oversized pieces. So thin, many cross it everyday without knowing. I think I should write a post on that, what do you think?
What do you think of this look? Are you a fan of the oversized trend? Do share your thoughts in the comments section.

I love the oversized trend and am petite too, it works quite well in pregnancy 😉
Yea it does..
I’m petite also and agree there is a fine line when rocking this look but you have got it locked down perfectly! x
Thanks x
I think the oversized trend looks great on most people, sadly as I am a bit larger it doesn’t have the same effect on me. Glad you had a great time in Milan 😀 x
Thank you x
I’m such a huge fan of black leather leggings. I wear mine all the time!
Ah cool.
Such a great comfy and sensible for this current weather x
Thank you x
You look fantastic as always! But as a size 6/8 I really don’t suit the over sized trend, I feel it just leaves me looking as though I am wearing clothes that are too big for me!!
Thank you. I know what you mean.
I’m also petite and I buy a lot of my clothes from charity shops. I don’t bother looking at the size label. I’m happy to wear size 16 (I’m size 8) I’ll just layer it and it works for me!
Ah nice.
I love your look. The oversized style looks great on you. I am on the petite side so I am now encouraged that I can fit into the oversized trend. Great.
Thanking you Osimeno x
I love your look Stella. You look fab as always. I think the oversized look can work if you do wear it with appropriate clothing.
Meaning just 1 over sized peice, as you are. I like over sized clothes. Just either the top or the trousers. Anymore than 1 peice is too much
Thanks Carol. Glad you like the post.
I like the over-sized look but it does depend on the top I’m wearing as some aren’t flattering. I love your leggings!
Thanks Jo.
Love the cardigan! I struggle with some oversized pieces because I’m on the short side – but I love the look when it works on me!
Thanks Milly.
I love oversized clothing!! I have to admit I’m short and a little chunky so I can’t pull it off all the time but wish I could!
Thanks. I love it too.
Glad you had a good time in Milan. I love this look a good oversized cardigan or jumper not only looks good but there’s something comforting about it too.
Thanks Lisa.
I find the oversized trend to be fabulous, but not on me, I feel frumpy in bigger pieces.
I know what you mean Emma.
I love this trend but you do have to think about the outfit. I think you’ve done a great job by balancing the outfits with different silhouettes
I do too. Thanks.
The key to nailing oversized is to balance out proportions and you have done exactly that! love the look. Happy belated birthday and hope you had fun in Milan!
Yes I did. Thanks Ana.
I love this whole look Stella! So stylish and warm too. I love oversized clothing for keeping you nice and warm 🙂
Thanks. Glad you like the look.
I love the oversized look, it’s great for comfy days where you can still look stylish and cute but also cosy and comfy at the same time. I’m loving the boots btw!
