Celebrity Wedding Dresses to Remember

I remember shopping around for my wedding dress many years ago; it was a fabulous experience. It didn’t take me too long to decide on a dress. I knew exactly what I wanted, and what bridal accessories I needed, and once I wore the dress, I knew it was the one.

Most wedding dresses, and weddings in general tend to cost a fortune. Just take a look at this well researched infographic, thanks to JJ Suspenders. This infographic explains the average wedding costs, so it is great a more great visual explanation, for those who are not aware.

This infographic is based on the cost of products and services in the US, but is also very similar to what we have here in the UK and most parts of the world. Weddings are generally expensive, and a big chunk of a wedding budget is spent on the wedding dress.

The good thing about shopping for wedding dresses is that there are so many options available. And we can also take inspiration from many celebrity brides and recreate more affordable alternatives.

Here are 3 celebrity wedding dresses that caught my eye –

Solange

I remember doing a double take when I first spotted this wedding dress. Solange broke the internet with this Humberto Leon for Kenzo floor-length gown with an attached cape, and it is so easy to see why. I don’t see anyone else pulling this look like Solange. This wedding dress is so her, it suits her style and personality, I guess that is why she nailed the look so effortlessly.

Ciara

Ciara slayed it in this Roberto Cavalli dress designed by Peter Dundas. I love the style of the wedding dress; the detailing is superb, and it looks amazing on her.

This is obviously a very expensive dress, but I am sure there are similar less pricey alternatives for brides to be.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian also broke the internet with this stunning Haute Couture Givenchy. This dress is the TRUTH! It is great for those with a bit of curves; it will show off your figure in all the right places. I love it on her; she looked stunning.

What are your thoughts on the infographic? What do you think of these wedding dresses? Which is your favourite and why?

  1. Not overly keen on the celeb dresses, although I think Kim Kardashian looks amazing! I am not married (16 years and two kids, but no desire to get wed) and I think it is ludicrous how much money it costs. I would rather have a nice, long holiday!

  2. I think Solange’s dress is amazing, so classic, dignified and timeless. I am really not a ruffle or fussy person so I don’t like Ciara’s 🙁 except the lace top half which is pretty. I think Kim’s really suited her curves: very jealous!

  3. I am in love with solange’s dress, by far my favourite. i love how modern and chic t looks, especially with that gorgeous cape that she wearing and the hint of gold on the cuffs adds a different element

  4. My favourite is definitely Solange’s. I love the beautiful flowing cape and the gold details. It is lovely.
