OOTD – Autumn Street Style

I have not posted an outfit post in a while. I was called out the other day by a reader, and I realised I have seriously neglected my personal style category on Fashion and Style Police. There is really no excuse. It is down to pure laziness but I promise to be better. My focus has been on writing, but I need to remember the big picture. Outfits are a huge part of the big picture. So with that out-of-the-way, say hello to my latest outfit post – Autumn Street Style.

I got this colourful kaftan while holidaying in Oman in the summer. I wore it for the first time some days ago, and I love how comfy it is. It is one size, and has an adjustable belt, which is so handy. I have fallen in love with this kaftan. I wish I got a few more. It is great for the autumn season too!

Everything else I have on is an Oldie but a Goldie. I don’t shop all the time but when I do, I like to buy quality, and this is because I think it is cheaper in the long run to buy quality pieces and accessories. They last longer, which works for me. I don’t have the money or time to keep shopping every season. So I rather spend that more on an expensive pair of jeans or shoes, than a cheap version, only to have it fall apart after a few wears.

I  loving autumn so far. It is getting colder, especially in the mornings and at night, but our heating isn’t on yet, so I guess it isn’t that bad. I am also looking forward to the layering trend; the boots, tights, scarves and light layers rocks my style world.

  1. I bet you got a lot of compliments that day. I am with you on the quality/classic pieces, not just for the time/money savings (because let’s be honest, shopping is my therapy and I’m a sucker for a deal) but I feel like it is one of the little ways I can keep shit out of the landfill, you know? I have a killer handbag in that royal blue that would slay this look.

  2. it happens to the best of us, particularly with blogging about our passions, it is easy to fall down the rabbit hole and forget about certain aspects!! but I love this kaftan, so bright and colourful.

  3. I love kaftan as it can give you many looks. Printed Kaftan for Autumn by you looks so trendy and stylish. Teamed with black jeans and black sandals also look more stylish.
