Hey peeps! How are we? We spent some days in the half term week in Portugal and it was a lovely trip. It was our first time in Portugal; we visited the lovely Algarve and it was magical, The weather was amazing, with lots of sunshine, which was just what we needed. Escaping the chilly autumn weather was a great decision. It was an impromptu trip and a surprise for the kids for half term, which was well received.
The flights were smooth with little stress from the kids. I was happy we didn’t have to deal with delays. We kept the kids well entertained throughout both flights with all sorts. I usually sort of dread the flights because I can never really know how the kids would behave but I was pleasantly surprised with this trip. The flight was 3 hours and it went by really quickly. It was a Jet2.com flight going to Portugal and an Easyjet flight flying back to Manchester Airport.
Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort and Hotel Spa
For accommodation, we had the lovely opportunity to stay at Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort and Hotel Spa. We were in the Resort section and it was really good. I love the fact that the apartment had enough space for 4 of us, with a living room, bedroom and kitchen. It is a 5 star Resort & Hotel and everything about the accommodation was indeed 5 star quality.
I Love Apartments
When it comes to holidays, I like going for hotels that come in form of mini apartments. Having a little kitchen with a hob, fridge, utensils, coffee machine, microwave and sink is very important. I like to cook little things for the kids while holidaying. It saves money and time, and I am sure they would have good meals, just incase they do not like what is being offered at the hotel.
This Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort and Hotel Spa ticked all the right boxes for me. It is definitely a hotel I would recommend. Checking in was very quick which was nice as we were already knackered from the flight. The house keeping lady was lovely and she did a great job cleaning our apartment and providing us with supplies.
Time off work
We had a great time exploring our new surroundings on our first day. It was such a beautiful place. We had a private pool for our side of the Resort and we had other pools in the hotel itself which we enjoyed too! It was a lovely relaxing holiday. I spent the time doing nothing as planned. All I focused on was the family, relaxing and getting good photos.
Going forward, I would make sure our holidays are like this. We took so many photos, I would need to write another post to show them all off.
Driving around the city
Algarve is truly a beautiful place. We rented a car from Enterprise, so we had the luxury of driving round the city and even to Lagos. The place reminded me of Lagos Nigeria.
Like I previously said, I have so many photos to share so instead of over adding too many photos to this post, I will be sharing a part 2 post with other photos in a few days.

I live in Macau, it was a former Portuguese colony for over 100years. We have a lot of Portuguese influences in the way of dinning , language and architecture, but I still love to visit the real Portugal after reading your post.
