I prefer the blank canvas look so I can change the look easily with accessories. It is far cheaper that way too.
Some nice ideas here. I won’t be doing velvet though. I really cannot stand the feel of velvet.
I really like the idea of the mixed textures and warmer colours which do bring it’s own life to a room. That’s where my focus will be.

Yes! As many cosy throws and cushions as you can find! We also change the bulbs to warmer ones . Makes so much difference x

I was sitting thinking only this morning that my living room felt and looked cold. It’s grey with pale yellow and navy blue cushions … I think I need to inject some warmer colours – some new velvet cushions maybe. And some candles

I love the idea of warmer colours. We can’t do much in our current home but if I could I’d introduce some warmer colours to the walls and accessorise with some metallic tones.
