Perfume Review – Parfums de Marly Delina

Delina by Parfums de Marly has been on my radar for a while. I finally got my hands on a bottle some months ago, and I am glad I now have this fantastic fragrance in my perfume collection. For those unfamiliar with this lovely scent, Parfums de Marly Delina was launched in 2017, and it is a floral, sensual fragrance that screams femininity. I have been using Delina for some months, and I keep falling deeper and deeper in love with this perfume. It is all I dreamed it would be and more.

I love discovering new scents, and getting to explore Parfums de Marly fragrances has been a game changer. I have tried most of their perfumes, thanks to the discovery set, and they are so good! Here is a bit more about the lovely Delina –

A charming and firmly modern floral bouquet. Delina is a highly nuanced fragrance which is both sweet and sensual. The eau de parfum relishes in its floral accords which are dominated by damascena rose, lily of the valley and peony, blended with the rounded tangy notes of lychee, rhubarb, bergamot and nutmeg. Vanilla accentuates the sensuality of the composition at the base, mingling with white musk, cashmeran, cedarwood and incense.

  • I love the rose fragrance. It smells so good! I have never smelt anything like Delina. It stands out in such a beautiful way.
  • This fragrance is so long-lasting! A few sprays will have you smelling divine all day and the day after!
  • I love the pretty bottle, which is a signature look for Parfums de Marly fragrances.
  • This fragrance has amazing projection, and sillage is on point!
CONS

None. I adore Delina.

I would rate this fragrance a 10/10. It is one of those fragrances you either like or don’t, and I like it.

What I am watching on Amazon Prime TV and Netflix

Amazon Prime TV and Netflix are keeping me very busy. I am not so much of a TV person but when I do watch, it has to be good. There are so many interesting series and movies currently on both streaming platforms. Here are the programmes I have been watching –

The Wheel of Time Season 3

I am so excited The Wheel of Time Season 3 is here. It is one of my favourite series on Amazon Prime and it premiered today, which is great. I am looking forward to seeing the entire season 3 because season 2 was just amazing.

Married to Medine Season 11

This new season has been so good. Full of lots of drama with Quad’s new man and all. I have found this season a lot more entertaining than the previous season, and I am looking forward to watching the rest of the episodes and the reunion as well.

The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9

I didn’t really enjoy watching this new season. It wasn’t as interesting as the previous seasons and I think the quality of the cast and their lack of interesting story lines is to blame. There’s still the reunion part 2 and 3 to watch, so hopefully those are worth watching, but so far, it has been massively underwhelming to say the least.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16

I have only watched the first episode of the new season and it looks great. There are so many faces I need to familiar with, but they look like they would be interesting to watch, and I am looking forward to the entertainment. Some of my favourites are back as well, so I expect lots of drama.

Cursed Season 1

This is a series I am currently on Netflix. I love the storyline which is bases on a book with the same name by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler. It is a shame there won’t be a season 2 as I am really enjoying season 1. This fantasty series  is about a young Fay girl with mysterious powers, and it is worth a watch if you are into the supernatural.

 

 

 

 

Perfume Review – Parfums de Marly Valaya

Valaya by Parfums de Marly is one of my current favourite perfumes. It is a floral musky-woody fragrance and it smells divine! I have tried many perfums from the brand and this is definitely my favourite from the feminine collection. I am yet to try out the new Valaya Exclusif, but I am sure it is also a lovely fragrance.

Parfums de Marly Valaya Eau de Parfum was created by Julien Sprecher. Top notes are Bergamot, Mandarin and White Peach. Heart notes are Orange Flower, Nympheal and Vetiver. Base notes are Akigalawood, Ambrofix and Musk.

Fragrance Description

A radiant aura and yet, an impalpable softness. This elegant floral-musky-woody fragrance created by Julien Sprecher is a unique play on codes, materials and subtle contrasts. An evocation of the skin caressed by a veil of cotton.

PROS
  1. If you like your perfumes long lasting, this is the one you would. Valaya stands on for the whole day and more. It even stays on after a wash. I love long-lasting perfumes, and Valaya performs so brillantly.
  2. I love the fresh clean fragrance. It reminds me of clean sheets! Love it so much.
  3. The packaging is on point, a beauty to behold.
  4. A little sprays go a long way as it is so long lasting. So I would definitely have this bottle in my collection for a while and I can already see myself repurchasing once I run out!
  5. I love the projection with Valaya. If you are looking to make a statement, you would want to wear this perfume.

Overall, Valaya by Parfums de Marly is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a fresh, clean, long-lasting fragrance. I rate it a 10/10, and I am so keen to try out the new Valaya Exclusif fragrance by Parfums de Marly. I have heard so many great things about the perfume already and I am sure it would complement the orginal Valaya nicely.
