Fashion Vs. Style

Are you fashionable or stylish? Most of us may find it difficult to answer this question. Some of us do not even know the difference between being fashionable and being stylish. Well here are my definitions; being fashionable is when you go for every piece of clothing and accessories in vogue while being stylish is when you go for pieces that suit your body frame and lifestyle.

Fashion keeps changing, personal style does not change. Being fashionable means you put on every piece in vogue just because you can and just because they are the latest pieces, being stylish means you are selective of what you put on, it means you stick to what you know looks good on you every time. Fashion is what you buy, style is what you do with it.

I was once fashionable. I will go into various stores and just buy anything I fancy, I had no clear style to stick too back then. I just use to wear everything and anything that is new in stores. Now, I will like to think of myself as more stylish than fashionable. I tend to go for pieces and accessories that I need to complement my wardrobe and my body frame. So will you describe yourself as fashionable or stylish?
