2014 Fashion Trends Hitting The Jackpot

Last year was a roller coaster ride for fashion enthusiasts, and we can all say that we’ve learned a thing or two when it comes to style. We now welcome the new year with open arms; fashionistas know that with the new year comes new fashion concepts and clothing trends to look forward to. What fashion trends will be dominant this year?

CBS News recently produced a feature on what to wear for 2014, and it stated that pinks, reds, and oranges are this year’s colours. The “rock” and glam look will no doubt still be present, as well as patterns and crop tops.

We always want to be updated with the latest trends so that we can look fab in all our endeavours–whether at work, or out with our friends during bingo nights. Fashion enthusiasts are always on the lookout for staples which can be worn throughout the year, and there’s no better way to keep a checklist than through a bingo card. We can all place fashion pieces (either with words or pictures) on a bingo card, then mark them when worn—this way, we can all showcase different ensembles throughout the year. A bingo card may also serve as a “randomizer”; this is the concept behind Boohoo Wardrobe Bingo. There are categories for tops, bottoms, shoes, and accessories which will be randomly picked out via bingo balls, and fate will decide which pieces go together.

If we want to be a translator like former Spice Girl Emma Bunton (also known as foxybingo Celebrity Mum of the Year to bingo fans, or as fashionable as bingo hall regular and TV presenter Denise Van Outen, we just have to make sure that we’re updated with the trends. Here are the staples to watch out for in 2014:

According to fashion tips by the Daily Herald,  men’s style lace-up shoes, midi skirts, cropped jackets, pastels, and statement pieces will grace the runways this year.

Strategic transparency, seafaring chic, heartland designs, and optical illusion prints are all the rage, said Bustle.com. The grey colour is also in fashion, especially that which has a metallic hue.

Soft pastels, sheer and lacy pieces, and grunge themes are the fashion predictions of LancasterOnline.com. When it comes to accessories, faux leather will be popular.

Of course, we’re all free to experiment and be our own fashion authority. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to incorporate the prevailing trends with our wardrobe, then we can just add our personal stamp to them.
