Outfit Post: Shopping the winter sales

Hey fashion lovers. I took these outfit photos on my birthday, earlier this week. It was a fun shoot and I am grateful to see another year. I have been shopping the winter sales. There were a few gaps in my wardrobe that needing feeling, so I went all out and spoilt myself a little. I have not shopped properly for myself in ages. I buy bits here and there that I need, but this month being my birthday month, I decided to spoil myself a little and it felt amazing. It is so easy to spend money and time shopping for others, and forget yourself in the process. Going forward, I aim to remember to put myself on that shopping list!

I got this jumper along with others some weeks ago from Next Clothing  and I really like it. The colour and the simple design are right up my style alley. It also feels so cozy and warm. Perfect piece for a Cozy Foggy Day! How is the weather where you are?

The weather here this week has been cold and very foggy. There has also been a bit of rain here and there. So dressing warm is so important especially when doing the school run in the morning. Having comfy footwear is also important. I really love the boots I have on here. The black boots are some of the new wardrobe additions and they keep my feet really warm and toasty. The floors are super slippery at the moment, so having the right footwear on is crucial especially when doing the school run in a rush. The last thing anyone needs is to slip and fall.

I also love having a warm hat on to keep my head covered. It helps me stay on. These days, I never leave the house without a warm hat on my head. They are lifesavers.

How are you finding the winter sales?

  1. I do love your outfit and the gentle mix of wintery colours: the red hat gives a fan pop to the dreary days.

Yes I have got some great bargains. Being a big Joe Browns fan I love their sales. My mantra of buying with J.B, cos I could spend a fortune at the beginning of each season, is to think “Will I be really devastated if I can’t get this piece in the sale”

Hence I may buy one or two pieces at the beginning of the season or none at all. Then I need to have another mantra with it in their sales too, so I dont go mental with what I buy. I endeavour to fo this with all I spend now
