Sam Rollinson Covers Harper’s Bazaar UK March 2017

Sam Rollinson covers Harper’s Bazaar UK March 2017 issue, and she looks loely. This issue was inspired by by the most beautiful of the new-season collections, the magazine’s 150th anniversary year, as well as the glories of Bazaar‘s extraordinary heritage.

I always love Harper’s Bazaar Magazine covers because they are always full of colour and very distinct. They usually stand out for the right reasons on the newsstands, and this cover is not different. I love the background of the cover. The photographer – Agata Pospieszynska, and stylist – Charlie Harrington, braved the elements to shoot Sam Rollinson on a Scottish clifftop at Dunnottar Castle, and Erik Madigan Heck, Leith Clark and Madison Stubbington faced the wind and waves of Botany Bay on the south coast of England, capturing the spirit of the place. I can see why they went through so much trouble to get the shots with this amazing background. It looks so beautiful.

I have never heard of Sam Rollinson until this Harper’s Bazaar cover, so I went digging. I found out that she is a 21-year-old British model, who has appeared in Burberry, DKNY, Balenciaga, NEXT and many other campaigns.

On how she found herself modelling:

“I’d just turned into a teenager and she decided I was allowed to enjoy shopping with her now.” A month later, they travelled down to London to visit the Select model agency. It was “a bit of a weird experience. I had absolutely no idea [about modelling].”

I like both covers but I prefer the subscribers cover above because Sam has a big smile on, and this cover looks a lot more fun than the regular cover.

What are your thoughts? Which cover do you prefer?
