If you have been reading Fashion and Style Police for some time, you would know all about my love for natural products. I like to use natural skincare and haircare products. My hair is natural, and after so many years, I have realised that the more natural the product, the better it is for me. Vegamour is an amazing brand I was lucky enough to come in contact with some weeks ago. I have been busy using Vegamour HYDR-8 Essentials Kit on my hair, and the experience has been so magical.

The HYDR-8 Essentials Kit contains a repair shampoo, repair conditioner, and a deep moisture repair mask.

Here are my thoughts on this Vegamour HYDR-8 Essentials Kit:

PROS
  1. I love that the products are natural and I really like the texture of the products.
  2. The packaging is compact with a twist lid for easy application.
  3. I really like the soft natural fragrance of these haircare products. They leave my hair smelling so good.
  4. The products leave my hair clean, hydrated, and soft. I love how manageable my hair becomes after every wash.
  5. Since I started using this Essentials Kit, I have noticed my hair is a lot stronger and there is less hair breakage, which is brilliant.
  6. The products are really gentle on my hair. They are great for most hair types if not all.

CONS

I can’t fault these products in any way, They are really good for my hair. I like how silky smooth my hair feels after every wash. My hair can be a bit difficult to tame with some products, and so I was happy to find that these haircare products did the work so well.

If you are considering trying out this Essentials Kit, my advice is to go for it! The products are worth every penny and they leave the hair looking and feeling hydrated.

The Rules for Beautiful Hair

A woman’s hair is her crown and it needs to be nurtured to look beautiful and healthy. I neglected my hair for many years so I know all about how damaging it is for your hair when the right hair products are not used or when you don’t spend time caring for it. Life happened and I now give my hair the attention and care it needs to thrive. I went naturally a few years ago and I only use natural hair products to nourish my hair. The rules for beautiful hair are similar to those for lovely skin. I will be writing a post showing off how long my hair is now and what my hair routine really looks like.  For now, here is a picture of my current hair length.

Keep your hair clean

I wash my hair every 2 weeks. Washing it every week will do my hair more damage than good. How often you should wash your hair depends on your hair type? Wash it as often as you need to keep it clean and healthy.

Stimulate your hair

It is very important to keep your hair stimulated. I do this by massaging hair oils into my scalp every day. This aids hair growth and keeps the scalp healthy.

Moisturise your hair

My hair and scalp are quite dry, so I moisturise twice a day. I have a spray bottle containing water and oils, and I use that twice a day alongside hair oils.

Keep your hair smelling good

The season of sweat is here and if you neglect your hair, it will end up smelling terrible. I love my hair smelling good. My essential oils do the job for me. I sprinkle a few jobs of my favourite essential oils into my spray bottle and that leaves my hair moisturised and smelling divine.

 

How I moisturise my natural hair

I transitioned from texturised hair to natural hair about 5 years ago, and I have no regrets. My hair is strong and healthy, and I love how it looks. When I had texturised hair, my hair was horrible. I had no edges and my hair was breaking a lot. It was so weak and unhealthy, and I couldn’t stand the sight of it anymore. I was tired on hiding it underneath hair extensions that only made my hair condition worse, so I decided to embark on the long road to freedom – natural hair route.

The journey has been long and hard but so worth it. It took me a long time to figure out hair products that worked great for my coarse hair. I tried all sorts of products and I am still trying new products regularly. In my search of trying out new products, I came across the amazing Naissance Fractionated Coconut Oil, Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair Leave in Conditioning Cream and some great Sheamoisture Hair Care products. I use SheaMoisture Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Masquwe every 2 weeks and these products help create the right foundation for the rest of my hair care products. 

Before stumbling on these products, I have used lots of shampoos, conditioners, masques, oils and leave in conditioners. But my current hair care products mentioned above are the best for my hair type. They are so good for natural hair protective hairstyles too!
