I love it when a house smells nice, which is why I always make sure mine smells great. The scent of a house is one of the first things that hits you when you step into it, and that is why everyone should ensure their home smells amazing. The smell of a house is one of the first and most important impressions and it usually lingers on, so it is smart to take it seriously.

Here are 5 ways to make your home smells amazing every time –

Get rid of any nasty odour

The first thing to do is to get rid of any nasty odour in your home. This is where a proper deep cleaning comes in. You may need to hire a professional cleaner to ensure every room is thoroughly cleaned. If you can’t be bothered to hire a cleaner you could try cleaning the house yourself. Make use of Google and get the best cleaning products the search engine brings your way. Ensure you clean your house from top to bottom. Don’t forget to clean up any rubbish bin as they tend to be the main culprits when it comes to nasty odour spots.

Burn Scented Candles

Burning quality scented candles is one of the fastest ways to get your house smelling great. It usually takes about an hour for the fragrance to spread round a room. I love burning candles and I do so every couple of days. There’s currently a candle giveaway you could enter if you are interested in winning some luxury scented candles. Candles definitely help the home smell amazing

Use Reed Diffusers

My home is filled up with reed diffusers. I would be lost without them. They are dead easy to use and one bottle can keep a room smelling great for weeks. I am currently using some Norfolk Natural Living Reed Diffusers and I really like them. They have a long lasting scent and last up to 12 weeks. My current favourites are the English Lavender Diffuser Oil Set and the Rose Garden Diffuser Oil Set.

Open the windows

Now this sounds obvious but it would surprise you the amount of people who hardly ever open their windows epecially in the winter season. You should endeavour to open your windows everyday even if it is just for a couple of minutes. That will get rid of nasty odours and let in some fresh air. It also changes the mood of the house, it does for me anyways. I feel a lot better when the window is open for some minutes everyday. It feels great to bring a bit of the outside indoors.

Get a dehumidifier

Having. dehumidifier helps you get rid of the excess moisture in the air, which in turn will help you get eliminate bad odours. You can get an accurate reading of the humidity in each room using a hygrometer. If you find a room with a humidity above 60%, then a dehumidifier will come in handy. We got one quite recently mainly for my hay fever, and it is super handy to have around. I love the efficient smart gadget so much.
