The Grammy Awards just happened and the big wide web is soaking it all in! I didn’t watch the show (not done so in eons) but I am always following the fashion on the red carpet, and it was so good this year. It was lovely seeing all the amazing celebs dressed in their Sunday best. Many of them were looking super stylish. Did you watch the show?

I almost didn’t recognise Lady Gaga in this beautiful monochrome dress. She looks so stunning. I love the entire look she brought to the red carpet. Her dress is a beauty to behold, and the hair and the makeup look so pretty too! This is definitely one of my favourite looks of the night. I love it a lot! It screams classy and chic. This shimmering Atelier Versace dress is simply stunning. It looks breathtaking on Snoh Aalegra. I love how she is wearing it, and her hair and makeup also look beautiful. This is definitely one of the most stylish looks of the night. Snoh Aalegra nailed it in this dress. There’s nothing not to like about her look. It is giving me elegant vibes. Do you agree?

Summer Fashion Finds I Am Loving

Fashion is one of my favourite things. It was one of the main things I spent money on before having kids. I don’t spend as much money and time on fashion and style like I used to but it is still a major part of my life. I enjoy writing about stylish pieces and accessories I have found and I love playing dress up! Life is too short not to look fly!

Summer is here and the weather has been amazing recently in Cheshire. The sunshine and heat means it is officially summer fashion season, and I am ready for it! Best to make the most of the summery weather especially if you live in the UK. Before you know it, the sunshine would disappear and autumn would be here.

Here are some of the new fashion finds I am loving at the moment –

I got my hands and eyes on this stunning Alexander McQueen Sunglasses some weeks ago, and I am loving it. It is one of my favourite sunnies at the moment. I love the frame a lot. The shape suits my face and it stands out so well. It is my go-to sunglasses for summer! You cam see how I wore this pair of sunglasses in this outfit post.

You can easily catch me wearing a pair of leggings which is why I am forever adding a new pair to my collection. I am a huge fan of Love Leggings. Myself and my daughter have pairs of leggings from the brand and they have been worn many times and been washed too may times to count, and they still look amazing. The latest addition to our leggings collection is this Oatmeal Beige Classic Leggings. I love the neutral colour a lot. It is very different from the other colours I have in my leggings collection. It suit many pieces in our wardrobe wardrobes. We love it!

Apart from leggings, I am also wearing a lot of summer trousers this season. I find them really comfy and one of my current favourites is this Red Floral Harem Trousers by George Asda. It is so pretty; I love the stylish print. It keeps me cool in the summer months and it is dead easy to style. I can style it with almost anything in my wardrobe.

This stunning yellow slider by Ted Baker is another summer fashion find. I got it some weeks ago and I really like it. It is my go-to school run footwear. Easy to wear and very comfortable thanks to the padding. It also looks very stylish which is a plus. I am looking forward to going on holiday with it. I love it so much that I also got a pair in black! They are simply stunning.

Summer fashion is never complete with a good pair of shorts! I like to have a few in my summer wardrobe for days when I can’t be bothered to wear anything longer. We have experienced a couple of very warm days, and thanks to this Banana Moon shorts and others, I have been comfortable.

Why I hate trying on clothes in the changing room

I do 98% of my shopping online. Online shopping is convenient for me and it suits my current lifestyle as I hardly ever go anywhere. I rather pay a delivery charge and try the clothes in the comfort of my home, than head off to a shopping mall. However there are times when I have to go into a store to shop. I prefer buying shoes and jeans in store because I need to make sure they fit. The only time I shop for these online is when I know for a fact that they would suit because I have bought similar pieces/pairs before from the same store. So what happens when I have to go into a mall to shop and use the changing rooms? I just do it and get it over it quickly.

I am sure I am not the only one that hates trying on clothes in the changing room. I have had a few people tell me they rather try on clothes at home and return them if they don’t fit than use the changing rooms. It is strange that many of us feel that way about the changing room. So what is the deal with the changing rooms?

Why I hate trying on clothes in the changing room

These are the reasons why I rather over trying on clothes in changing rooms –

 

I feel exposed

There is little privacy in changing rooms. I find the curtains don’t do a good job and I feel exposed when trying on clothes. I also have this weird feeling that someone could mistakenly/deliberately open the curtains.

 

They are always too small

As a twin mummy, I am usually out and about with the kids. Trying on clothes in small changing rooms with 2 very active toddlers is not ideal. The rooms are usually even too small for just one person, not to mention going in with kids.

 

Waiting for a free room

I am not the most patient person. My entire patience is used up with the twins so I have little or non left for anything else. Hanging around waiting for a free room to try on clothes feels like a waste of valuable time.

Changing rooms are useful

Despite my reservations, I know how useful changing rooms can be. They are great for when you need to ensure that stunning dress fits great or that new brand has the jeans you have your eye on in your size. But I still avoid them when I can. I rather just try my finds at home and buy from trusted brands I know.
