5 Rules For Shopping The January Sales

JAN-SALE

No money, no problem. The January sales are now on and bargains are everywhere. I am really fighting temptation to not shop till I drop, with all the crazy discounts in stores who can blame me. Shopping the sales is great as long as you follow these rules in order not to shop in a haste and regret later.

Make A List

Make a list of what you plan on buying in the sales and stick to it so you don’t overspend or buy unnecessary items just because they are on sale. If you won’t buy an item for the full price, do not buy it in the sales. Also, have a list of the stores you plan on visiting so as to avoid aimless window shopping.

Get In There

Get in there first if you want the best bargains, they are usually the first to go.

Try Everything On

Try on everything before buying. Never be in a hurry to part with your hard-earned cash. That pretty blouse you are eyeing may look great on the mannequin but dreadful on you. To ease trying on clothes, try not to wear so many layers of clothing.

Go Into The Stores

When it comes to shopping the sale, I will recommend doing it in the traditional way, which is, go into the stores. Shop online only if you have to. It is better to shop your sale items physically in order to avoid disappointments. Some outfits may look good online but not when you see them.

Take A Good Look

Have a good look at your sale items before buying. You don’t want to get home with your purchases to find out your new sweater has some holes in it. Sale items are usually rough handled due to the numerous try-ons and the general rush.

How are you finding this year’s January sale? Any crazy deals?
