Our Premier Inn Festival Park Basildon Essex Experience

We have stayed at this hotel many times but I never got the chance to write about it. I decided to change that this year. We spent 2 nights at this Premier Inn in Basildon and we have done so several times. The hotel location is easy to find and well situated with lots to eat and do around. It is a few mins walk away from a retail park with a cinema, club, bars and restaurants, so no dull moment here. The check in was quick and our room was on the ground floor which was good.

I was happy with the room space. We booked a family room with 2 individual beds for the kids and another king sized bed for us and I was glad we still had some room to keep our luggage.

My Honest Thoughts

Our stay at this Premier Inn was ok overall. The rooms were properly cleaned and the TV and WIFI worked great. I have stayed in so many hotels that struggle with the simplest things so it was great to see this didn’t. The Premier Inn Bedding is also loved by us. I think it is super comfy and I love sleeping on their beds. The only issue we had was with the heating. We were shocked to find out the heating was not working in our ground floor room.

With the drop in temperature, I was shocked I had to bring this to the attention of the receptionist. She did provide two little heaters which she wheeled into our rooms (you can see one of them in the picture above). The heaters worked ok but it was annoying to have to keep manually switching it off and on. It was an inconvenience that we shouldn’t have had to deal with and I hope they sort it out asap.

I don’t see myself returning here again. They have no air conditioning, so we won’t be able to stay here in the summer months and with the inconvenient heating arrangement, we won’t be visiting in the cold months either. I like comfort in hotels. If I have to struggle to get the basic amenities after parting with money, it makes me really grumpy. Having said that, I have stayed in some amazing Premier Inns and will be reviewing them when next I get the opportunity.

A Few Useful Tips To Move Into Chelsea

Considering that the city is at the financial center of the world, finding an apartment in NYC is an extremely competitive process. This includes the neighborhood of Chelsea, as it is Manhattan’s artistic center and is near famous attractions. This article will provide some useful tips on how to score a decent apartment in this area.

Consider Your Transportation Needs

Since New York City is one of the few places in the country where it is a good idea to rely on public transportation, it’s a good idea to strategically place yourself near your route. Check out the official bus route map if you are not familiar with transportation in the area.

If you plan on driving, you will definitely need the availability of a parking space. If the property has no place to park your car, the expenses of storing your car in a parking garage are not negligible.

Finding the Right Price

Chelsea is somewhat unique due to the extreme wealth gaps that affect rent prices. It is not uncommon to find a luxury apartment complex or gated community within walking distance of low-income housing.

Because of this, you may find absurdly low-priced apartments near blips of expensive places. Renting too cheap may bring you into an undesirable housing project. At the same time, luxury developments may be built too close for comfort.

Be Nice To Your Previous Landlords

Since some owners will want to see letters of recommendation from previous landlords, you may want to retain a decent relationship before moving out. In particular, the letter should claim that you pay on time, kept the apartment clean, and did not violate terms of the contract. Even if it is not a requirement, having a letter will be the icing on top when standing out from other tenant applications.

Use Loftey as a Broker

Loftey is a useful service as it cuts a lot of the due diligence when it comes to searching for Chelsea apartments. In exchange for the referral fee that is involved with the broker, you will quickly get moved into the neighborhood that you desire. You may also split the upfront moving fees into multiple payments when you pay through Loftey.

Shopping and Surviving

You will definitely need to be near grocery stores and other shops to live comfortably. If the shopping in the apartment’s area is bare, the struggle to commute to buy groceries in Manhattan can be quite time-consuming. If you’ve never lived in a densely populated location, you will soon learn why this is important.

After you’ve found your ideal living situation in Chelsea, you can finally enjoy the cultural attractions in the area. With the high density of artists, there are hundreds of galleries to look at. The area is also rich with ethnic diversity, meaning cool cultural events and a variety of restaurants. It is also is a very tolerant part of town as it’s home to a large concentration of LGBT residents.

Do you like the sound of living in Chelsea?

Dubai – A Destination for Thrill Seeking Holiday

I love travelling. Exploring various cities/countries always put me on the high, which is why I always look out for any travel opportunity I can lay my hands on. We have kind of slowed down our travelling because of the kiddies. We have visited many countries with the kids but the reality of it is travelling with them isn’t easy. The good news is that they are getting older, so our travel thrill seeking holidays would be back on track. We have a few cities we are thinking of visiting in the next few months and I hope they happen.

Looking back at all the holidays I have been on in the last few years, my favourite is and always will be (for now anyway) Dubai. I just love that place. It is a beautiful holiday destination. There is something for everyone and for every family. It is a thrill seeking holiday for sure so if you are after good fun, you need to visit Dubai.

Regardless of what you are into, there are definitively activities to keep you very busy. And as long as your travel insurance covers all aspects of your travel, you are fine to explore and have good fun. The importance of travelling with a travel insurance that covers everyone on the trip and all aspects of your trip can’t be overemphasised. Travel Insurance is not something you should ever skip when going on holiday as you never know when it would come in handy. And it pays to be safe than sorry. If you are shopping around for best deals on travel insurance, you can check out https://www.bupaglobal.com/en/quote for a quote.

When it comes to Dubai adventures, there are so many activities to catch your fancy. From skydiving with a view to riding camels in the desert. And if you are into water sports in particular, there you will really enjoy Dubai. There are so many water sports activities to do in various water parks. We had a good time at Wild Wadi when we visited Dubai last year. The water rides were a lot of fun. The kiddies really so much. And the year before, we visited The Atlantis The Palm’s Aquaventure Waterpark and that was even more fun. We got on so many cool water rides/slides, the craziest being the Leap of Faith – a near-vertical drop for the bravest holiday thrill seekers.

Dubai is definitely a major tourist attraction. It is a great holiday destination and it is always the first place I recommend anyone to go on holiday. I have visited the amazing place 3 times now and I still can’t get enough of it. It is one place I can freely let my hair down and just have some fun. The weather is always good with plenty of warm weather. However it is best to avoid visiting Dubai between June and October when the weather is dead warm. Visiting between December – March is fine as it is not as warm as other months.
