Some colours will naturally suit you more than others. This could be due to your skin tone, eye colour, hair colour and size. A professional colour consultation with a wardrobe consultant is the best way to determine your best colours, but you can also play around with colours till you find the best colours for you. That is what I did.
The wardrobe colour palette is typically divided into Warm and Cool colours. Cool colours look great in the winter and summer seasons, colours like black, white, navy blue, grey, purple, pink, and so on. While warm colours look great in the spring and autumn seasons, colours like brown, green, peach, orange, cream, and so on.
Here is a tip for you:
Choosing an outfit from the same colour base will leave your pieces looking nicely matched. For instance, grab a jacket in a cool colour, a black or grey jacket will do, then add a variety of colours from the same cool colour group for the tops, shirts, skirts, pants, and accessories.
Play around with colours in each base at various seasons. When next you go shopping, aim to buy pieces and accessories with these colour groups in mind for each season.
