I have previously written about the kiddies wanting a pet. They have wanted a pet for as long as I can remember, and they have finally decided it is a dog they want. I have never had a pet in my life. Growing up, my pets were my teddies and dolls, so the idea of children having a pet is all new to me. I am not completely against the kids having a dog, but I still think they are too young to understand the responsibility of having a dog or any kind of pet.
Just so you get the right picture, my daughter loves dogs because she thinks they are so cute. And my son loves dogs because they bark 😃
Since I am going to take the backseat when it comes to caring for this pet, they have to be ready to the handle the basics. Which means we are going to have to wait a few more years. While we are waiting for the years to go by, I have been shopping around for some dog essentials for when we do get one. I believe if you are going to have a dog or any other pet, you should provide a great home for it. Which is why I was happy to stumble upon the Raised by Humans website. This brand has some of the most colourful dog beds I have ever seen.
Metric Mattress Dog Bed £55
This designer dog bed by Raised by Humans would definitely add a splash of colour to our living room. It looks very comfy and I love the bright colours on it. I also like the fact that the cover is removable and machine washable.
Metric Designer Doughnut Dog Bed £35
This Metric Designer Doughnut Dog Bed also looks very comfortable. It also has an easy to clean cover made from 100% polyester. I love the design a lot.
Good to have pet brands like Raised by Humans think outside the box when it comes to designing. Most pet brands sacrifice design for convenience, but not RBH. Their fresh take on design sets them apart from the rest of the pet brands that primarily have monochrome and tartan designs, which can be a bit of a bore. A splash of colour is good when it comes to home decor and I think dog beds also serve as home decor as they are part of the furniture as well as an essential for the dog.
Having a colourful well designed dog bed is great for the dog and the home. It adds some fun, character and colour to the interior decor, which is amazing. I also like the memory foam technology, waterproofing features of Raised by Humans dog beds.
What do you think of these items? What age did your kids get a dog?
*Collaborative post.
A good dog bed is always one that can be washed. For me, growing up on a farm, I got my first dog of my own when I was 8, a black lab named wiggles.
I agree. A good dog bed needs to be washable.
We just got a puppy last week…life changing but the kids are really happy.
Oh nice.
I got a dog when i was around 11 years old, it definitely helped teach me responsibility & accountability. A dog definitely helps fill a home.
I agree. Thanks for stopping by.
I’ve always been a huge fan of animals. We have dogs and kitties at home and we love them so much. I agree that it’s our responsibility to provide a good home for them and that definitely includes beds! I love how these look!
Oh nice. Thanks Alison.
Wow, having pets is certainly a very ecstatic response. And this Doughnut Dog bed looks amazingly comfy for adorable pets.
Yes it looks so comfy.
Those designer beds for dogs are really stylish and comfy. I’m sure my friend will love this for her pug 🙂
I bet your friend will.
We don’t have a dog but mine soooooooo want one. I think we have a discussion about this almost every month. I know people with dogs though and a good mattress is a must, it’s not like you need to buy much for them other than food after the initial outlay and they deserve to be spoilt just as much as we do.
My thoughts exactly Melanie. Thanks for stopping by.
While growing up, I also knew of dolls as pets!Ha-ha! Well, it sounds so funny to kids of today’s era but again, a dog would be a perfect pet. Especially when it’s a pretty brand. Anyway, the doughnut bed looks just cute and comfy…please get that one!
I will. Thanks Dalene.
We’ve had pets for as long as I can remember they’re like family already. It’s really cool to have products just for them. Not only functional but looks good. So to say, I love that Doughnut bed!
Me too. It looks so good.
We got a dog when my daughter was six months and then again we got one when she was four. They were too very different experiences. I really like the look and color of these beds. I’m just worried that my dog wouldn’t use it. My dog sort of uses his beds, but mostly he just humps them. I would hate to get a bed and he just hump it.
Yea I see what you mean. No point spending money on what will not be used.
Have had a dog of my own when i was quite young but havent had another ever sincr then but i know i shoe affection to peookes dogs alot. Grtting my own dog someday will be good. The beds are all nice too, tough choice between them.
Thanks Lex.
Oh my gosh, these doggie beds are so cute! But honestly, I am not a dog person. The only animals that we have as pets are a turtle and a couple of hedgehogs. Works well of us who don’t like furry friends. hehe Sorry.
Yea they are super cute.
I agree, having a pet is a big responsibility. I had 3 dogs growing up, they need a lot of attention and care. My daughter seems to want one, but she is only 2 years old and I would prefer to wait until she is a little older to get her a puppy. I think the best mattress would be one that is super easy to clean up 🙂
I agree. Thanks for reading.
I love the dog beds! I should get own to my little puppy. She’ll like it.
Ah nice. Pls do.
I would love to have my own dog and also pestered my parents when I was younger! It’s so important though to be prepared and responsible. My job just doesn’t allow enough time for it.
Yes it is a lot of work. Many don’t have a clue until they get one.
Omg !!! I just love dogs and I actually love what you wrote ♥
You can go and check my dog’s story on my blog by visiting my profile!
I will. Thanks.
