Kim Kardashian Covers Cosmopolitan UK March 2016

Kim-Kardashian-600x780

The beautiful Kim Kardashian is on the cover of Cosmopolitan UK March 2016 issue and I am loving it. She looks stunning on the cover as expected, and it looks like she has got her pre-baby body back, so good for her.

I am liking the very light price tag of £1, I can see myself grabbing a copy of this issue. I am usually a tiny bit interested in anything concerning the Kardashians, especially Kim, because I see her as a successful business woman, and I like to know what makes successful people tick, regardless of how they came about the success. So having a sex tape is not the traditional route to success, but it worked for her and her family, and let’s face it, that was donkey years ago. She has gone on to do so many other things, like a very succesful reality show and numerous spin-offs, a clothing store, various clothing collections worldwide, beauty products, perfumes, an app, you name it, she probably has done it. So to read more for £1, will be great.

However, what I will really want her to do is to write a tell all book like her mum – Kris Jenner did some years ago. I will love to read more about her childhood, boyfriends, failed marriages, marriage to Kanye West, motherhood, and how the fame all started for her. Not the edited tv version, but her full version. That will be so cool.

Back to the Cosmo cover, I love the blue background, so pretty with Kim wearing a white dress. Most of the articles on the cover also look promising, especially the ‘Hello Smart Ass’ and the ‘Rise of the Mean Girls’. I bet this issue would be a great read.

What do you think of this issue? Have you read it? Drop me a comment, let’s chat.

Lupita Nyong’o Covers Elle UK January 2016 Issue

ELLE_UK_January_Cover-510x677

The black and beautiful Lupita Nyong’o covers Elle Magazine UK January 2016 issue. This beauty looks amazing on the cover. I love her hair and makeup, and her Louis Vuitton outfit looks stunning. This Lancôme’s first-ever black ambassador is like a breath of fresh air, I love everything she represents and I am super excited to see her on Elle cover.

I remember Lupita Nyong’o from her Shuga Days (an African series), and I am so proud for all what she has achieved in such a short time. For a woman who was once told she was too dark for Hollywood, and would never make it as an actress, only for her to go on to win her Oscar for 12 Years A Slave in January last year, and to become a household name, and a force to reckon with in the entertainment industry, she has done pretty well for herself.

If you turn on the television and you are not represented on that television, you become invisible to yourself. And there was very little of myself that I saw on TV, or in the movies that I was watching, or in magazines that were lying around the salons or around the house. And so these are subconscious things. Yes, Western beauty standards are things that affect the entire world. And then what happens? You’re a society that doesn’t value darker skin.’

I must confess I didn’t take to Lupita at first. I was not so impressed with her in the movie – 12 Years A Slave (I preferred the other black woman with the kids), but her drive and determination to succeed inspires me. She is the real deal.

I will be picking up a copy of this issue, I can’t wait to read all what Lupita Nyong’o has to say. The ‘How To Shop The Sale’ and ‘Do You Have The Superwoman Syndrome’ features also look like a good read. I can always trust the Elle Team to deliver on each issue.

What do you think of the cover? Are you a fan of Lupita? Sound off in the comment section, let’s talk.

Thanks for reading. Have a great week.

Daisy Ridley Covers Glamour Magazine UK 2016

Daisy-Ridley-Glamour-UK-January-2016-Cover

Hey peoples. New month means new magazine covers, right? Yes! I love my British magazines because half the time, I don’t know who the cover girl is, so they introduce to people I should know in the industry, and I love that about them.

Daisy Ridley (never heard of her) is the cover girl for Glamour Magazine UK January 2016. It feels good to start talking about 2016, I still can’t believe we are in December already. Anyways, back to the cover girl, the 23-year-old cover girl, is an actress, and she is a beauty, I love what she has on, especially the choker necklace, and she has the cutest smile ever. I have also discovered that Daisy Ridley is a stylish young woman, gone through some of her pictures, and she has got style. She may be the next Style Icon on Fashion and Style Police.

I am loving the topics on the cover as well. The ‘457 looks to love’ should be a good read, and I would love to read life advice from Lena Dunham and Fearne Cotton. I am so looking forward to reading these articles.

I love everything about this second look, the pose is fierce, and the sandals are so colourful. This is a stunning photo. I wish this photograph was used o the Glamour cover, I think it would have made a beautiful front cover, do you agree?

This issue is on sale from tomorrow, Thursday 3 December. I see myself grabbing a copy as always. Glamour is one of the few affordable magazines out there, I usually love the features in them, and I get a lot of inspiration from them as well.

What do you think of this Glamour cover? Will you be grabbing a copy? Sound off in the comment section.
