Product Review: Viktor and Rolf Bonbon Couture Eau de Parfum Intense

Viktor and Rolf BONBON COUTURE Image

I am a big fan of Deutsch brand – Viktor and Rolf. I have used a few of the brand’s perfumes and I am currently hooked on all of them. I reviewed the Bonbon by Viktor and Rolf some months ago, and I raved about how much I was in love with it. So you can imagine the joy when this Bonbon Couture Eau de Parfum Intense dropped on my doorstep. I was over the moon with excitement.

This Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Couture is all I thought it would be and more; it is a more intense interpretation of the original Bonbon fragrance. Viktor & Rolf have described this new fragrance as the new evolution of the original haute confection fragrance, drawing inspiration from the provocative masterpieces, glamour and elegance of their Haute Couture collections.

Base: sandalwood, patchouli, vanilla, white tobacco

Here are my thoughts on the Bonbon Couture –

  1. I adore the design of the bottle, I think it is really pretty. It is quite similar to the original Bonbon bottle but this bottle is a darker shade of pink with a lighter, matte bow.
  2. I am in love with the fragance. It is similar to the original Bonbon fragrance but this is more intense and more luxurious.
  3. It is a long-lasting fragance, it stayed on all day, and I didn’t have to re-apply.

CONS

None.

Product Review: Dolce & Gabbana rose the one

Dolce and Gabbana The One Image

I am so obsessed with perfumes. I love smelling good, and like to have a few good fragrances around at a time. I have been using this Dolce & Gabbana rose the one eau de parfum for months now, and I think it is a great fragrance to have. Prior to using this perfume, I used the original Dolce & Gabbana the one eau de parfum and I liked that as well, so I wasn’t too surprised at how good ‘rose the one’ was.

Here is what the brand has to say about this perfume:

Rose The One is a breath-taking realization of a contemporary feminine floral and a deftly sensual paean to the eternal romance of the rose. The scent is exhilarating and bursting with joie de vivre without surrendering any of the one’s famously seductive magnetism. Unfettered by convention, she is unafraid of everything, her own emotions not least. Warm, open, yet maintaining a certain mystery.

Here are my thoughts on this perfume:

PROS

  1. It is a sweet-smelling, light, feminine scent. Great for day or night.
  2. This fragrance is long-lasting, it stays on all day.
  3. I love the elegant bottle. It looks amazing on my dressing table.
  4. A 50ml bottle goes for £62. Some may see that as pricey, but I see it as money well spent.

CONS

I love everything about Dolce & Gabbana rose the one. It smells amazing and stays on all day. What more could a girl ask for?

I recommend this perfume to anyone in need of a day and night fragrance. If you love the classic rose fragrance, you will adore this perfume. It is worth every penny.

Product Review: RITUALS Blossom Water Cherry Blossom

Light bed & body mist Image

I got this RITUALS Blossom Water Cherry Blossom bed and body mist while holidaying in Amsterdam some weeks ago. While exploring the busy city, my eyes fell on a RITUALS store, and before I knew it, I was walking out with this mist in a bag.

This bed and body mist is my first RITUAL product ever, and this is also the first time I am using a bed and body mist. I have used it for weeks now, and I am very impressed.

Here is what RITUALS has to say about this Blossom Water Cherry Blossom mist:

With the relaxing scent of young Cherry Blossom gently covers your skin with a fine dew

Gives the skin a refreshing feeling
The cherry blossom, ‘Sakura’, lends its name to a princess from long, long ago who was called Kono- Hane-Sakuya-Hime (blossoming-tree-blossom-princess). The legend tells that she was given this long name after she had fallen from heaven and landed right on top of a cherry tree. Since then cherry blossom has been regarded by the Japanese as a symbol of happiness, love and the annual start of nature’s reawakening.
