Handbags are my favourite type of accessory because they are like an extension of my body. They have the power to take a plain outfit to a whole new style level. I love having handbags in different shapes for different occasions. My handbags are usually quite large because I like to put all sorts inside them. For those who don’t know, clutches were invented in the 1920s and have been a fashion hit ever since. I have a few clutches. They are great for special events. I don’t carry them much because they are impractical for everyday use but they do look pretty for occasions when I do need them.
Tote bags are usually large and flat with an open top and zippered pockets inside. They are my favourite sort of bags because they come in the right size. I like my bags large.
This shape is named after the French loaf of bread because of the similarity in the shapes. Baguette bags have short straps and are worn tucked under the arm. They are super stylish. I have had a DKNY baguette bag for years now and I am still so very in love with it. For those who are not sure of what a Baguette bag looks like, here is an example below.

A Minaudière is a clutch bag without handles or straps. It is the combination of a purse and an evening bag. The name comes from the French ‘minauder’ which means ‘to simper’.
Hobo bags are also my favourites. I love them because they are oversized soft leather bags in a curved crescent shape with a shoulder strap. Many of my bags are in Hobo shapes.
