Product Review: Iman Second To None Cream To Powder Foundation

I had been using my Marykay powder and foundation for many years and I wanted a change so I decided to pop into a Debenhams store to try the Iman Second To None Cream To Powder Foundation in Clay 3 shade. My mum has been using Iman for many years and she had only good things to say about the product so I decided to give it a try.

IMAN SECOND TO NONE

Here are my thoughts on the product:

PROS

  • The Second to None Cream to Powder Foundation in Clay 3 is the right shade for me. It matched my skin tone perfectly.
  • This product blends in well.
  • There is a shade for every skin tone.
  • It is easy to apply with the sponge that comes with it.
  • Goes on smoothly and gives great full coverage.

CONS

  • This product is quite hard to find. It is currently stocked in Debenhams in the UK and that seems to be the only beauty store to buy it but you may be able to buy it on Amazon.co.uk
  • It makes my face oily so I still have to apply a bit of powder after applying it.
  • It is quite pricey at £24.50

Overall, I like this product, it suits my skin tone and I will be using it again. I recommend Iman Second To None Cream to Powder.

Product Review: Bobbi Brown Rich Colour Angel Pink Lipgloss

I have been using this Bobbi Brown Rich Colour Angel Pink lipgloss for some months and I am now able to give my honest opinion. Here is what Bobbi Brown says about the product:

Rich Color Gloss has the full color coverage of a lipstick, the soft shine of a gloss, and the luxurious feel of a balm. It moisturizes, conditions, and lasts throughout the day without feathering.

Bobbi Brown Rich Colour Lipgloss

Here are my thoughts:

PROS

  • Beautiful packaging.
  • Lipgloss is glossy but not sticky.
  • It moisturizes the lips.
  • It is a long lasting lipgloss

Bobbi Brpwn

CONS

  • It is quite expensive at £18.50 for a 7ml.
  • This Angel Pink lipgloss does not have the coverage of a lipstick when I apply it. It looks like a lipgloss to me, which it is.
  • It has a strong minty smell I really don’t like much.

Overall, I love Bobbi Brown lipglosses. I have been a fan for years so I will be trying other lipgloss shades in the Rich Colour range till I find the perfect one.

What do you think? Have you used any of the lipglosses from Bobbi Brown Rich Colour range? Sound off in the comment section pls. Thanks for reading.

Product Review – MAC Brush Cleanser/HOW To Clean Your Brushes

Whenever I think of Beauty, I think of MAC. Whenever I run out of any beauty product or I need a new beauty tool, I always think of going to a MAC counter first before I think of other cosmetic brands. Guess MAC Cosmetics has become a worldwide beauty name and every girl, regardless of her race wants a piece of them.

I won’t say I am obsessed with MAC or any other cosmetic brand for that matter. I only buy what I need, when I need it. I won’t go out and buy five different shades of red lipsticks for example. Not that sort of girl or blogger.

MAC BRUSH CLEANSER REVIEW

I got this MAC brush cleanser awhile and I have used about half of it now so I can give an unbiased product review.

PROS

  • This cleanser does the job. It cleans my brushes so well, they look and feel brand new.
  • It is well packaged.

CONS

  • It is quite expensive at £11 for a bottle but then again it is a MAC product.

Now while snooping about on the internet as always, I discovered many people do not actually know the importance of cleaning their makeup brushes (some people confessed they have never had their makeup brushes cleaned, yikes) and many people have no idea how to clean their brushes properly so I will try to break it down:

It is EXTREMELY important to clean your makeup brushes. I clean mine every month and I will advise you do so too. Cleaning your makeup brushes keeps them clean and free from bacteria and other germs which may be harmful to your skin, causing spots and skin conditions. Cleaning your brushes regularly also wipes off the residue from the many colours applied on the brushes, leaving your brushes looking brand new.

When using the MAC Brush Cleanser, you do not have to go tugging at the brush bristles to get the dirt and colours off, this product cleans the brushes easily and quickly. Here are the steps to follow when cleaning your makeup brushes:

  1. Put some of the cleanser on tissue, make sure the tissue is damp but not soaked.
  2. Gently wipe your brushes using downstrokes.
  3. Change the tissue if necessary and repeat step 1.
  4. Keep wiping until there is no more residue or makeup on the tissue.

I love the MAC Brush Cleanser, it leaves my make up brushes looking brand new. I will use it again. However, there are many brush cleansers out there that may be more affordable and may do the work as well.
