Product Review: Clinique Beauty Products

Hey yah! How are we? I am doing great, happy as a bunny, and I have another product review post to share. It is still all Clinique. I have been busy in the beauty department in my Local Debenhams store and I can’t wait to tell you all about the beauties I got. Debenhams currently has discount code 10% off 50GBP starting this Wednesday, so get in time to get what you need on the spectacular sale. I get discount codes off a website called Codesium. The website has loads of discount codes for Debenhams, and many other websites, so it is definitely worth checking out.

Back to the beauties I got, here they are –

Clinique Pop™ Matte Lip Colour + Primer in Graffiti Pop 2.3g

I have used this Clinique Pop Lipstick for weeks and it is the best Clinique Lipstick I have ever used!

Here is the brief product description –

Weightless yet pigment-saturated formula, Clinique Pop™ Matte Lip Colour and Primer hugs lips with 8 hours of creamy matte comfort. Built-in primer helps smooth lips for an easy, even glide every time.

Here are my thoughts on this Clinique Lipstick –

PROS

  1. I love the pink shade. It suits my skin tone.
  2. It is very long-lasting, and easy to apply, as it contains primer already!
  3. It can be bought in many beauty stores.
  4. I love the texture of the lipstick.

CONS

None. I love everything about this particular shade of lipstick. I will be buying it again.

Clinique Pep-Start Hydroblur Moisturiser

I have used this Clinique Moisturiser for some weeks and I like it. Here is a brief description –

This oil-free moisturiser instantly helps to blur imperfections while providing all-day hydration. Skin looks naturally perfected with a matte finish. Wear it alone, or under foundation. It’s so lightweight you can use it for touch-ups throughout the day. We call it your new favourite filter…the ideal way to give your skin the moisture it needs, and the forgiving ‘retouch’ that blurs the look of pores and fine dry lines.

Here are my thoughts –

PROS

  1. This moisturiser really preps my skin for makeup. My foundation just slides through with this on.
  2. It is fragrance free.
  3. It feels good on my skin. I love the texture, and the matte finish.
  4. It is a great multi-tasking product.
  5. It contains SPF.

CONS

None. I love this moisturiser, and I recommend it 100%. I will be using it again for sure.

Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover

This is another new Clinique Beauty product I have been trying lately.

Here is a brief description –

Makeup remover for lids, lashes and lips. Unique, two-way formula that loosens the grip, then speeds the departure of the most persistent, eye makeups, mascara and lipsticks. Ophthalmologist tested. Suitable for contact lens wearers.

Works on all skin types.

Here are my thoughts –

PROS

  1. It does the job; it gets makeup off.
  2. It is compact, so easy to carry around.
  3. It is great for all skin tones, and gentle on the skin.

CONS

  1. I found it too oily for my skin.
  2. It does not wash off easily.

It is a handy makeup remover, but I won’t be buying this again.

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream

I am starting to step up my skincare regime, so I am getting into eye creams and all. I have been using this Clinique Eye Cream for some weeks now, and I find it OK.

Here is the brief description –

A pep rush for eyes. Just 3 seconds to look wide awake, refreshed. Hydrates, brightens, perks you up. Its cool touch and de-puffing tip help keep eyes looking fresh. Smooths the way for makeup, too. Have it on hand. Ophthalmologist Tested.

Here are my thoughts –

PROS

  1. I love the bright packaging.
  2. I love the texture of the eye cream.
  3. It feels great on my skin.
  4. It is easily accessible in many beauty stores.
  5. A little goes a long way.

CONS

  1. I have not noticed any difference in my eye area.

I won’t be using this product again.

Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser

Now this is the best cleanser I have used in a long time. I am so in love with it.

Here is a brief description of this cleanser –

Effectively removes long-wearing makeup and sunscreen quickly and gently. Skin feels moist, clean, and fresh. Contains chamomile. Concentrated formula is long-lasting.

Here are my thoughts –

PROS

  1. It wipes up every trace of makeup, and leaves my skin very clean.
  2. Like all the other Clinique products, a little goes a long way. You only need a pea sized dot.
  3. It is fragrance free.
  4. It washes off easily.
  5. It is great for all skin types.

CONS

None.

I love this cleanser so much. I recommend it to everyone, and would be buying it again. It is so good.

Clinique High Impact Mascara

Mascaras are one of my favourite makeup products, as they have the power to transform the eyes. I have been playing around with this Clinique Mascara, and it ticks all the right boxes for me.

Here is the brief description –

High Impact Mascara is a multi-benefit mascara that adds maximum volume with definition and length. Specially developed brush and formula work together to dramatically thicken lashes while separating.

Here are my thoughts –

PROS

  1. It is great for sensitive eyes. I wear contact lens, and it does not irritate my eyes at all.
  2. It thickens and separates my lashes.
  3. Only a little bit is needed for the full effect.
  4. No smudges.
  5. It stays on all day, and easy to take off.

CONS

None.

I recommend this mascara and will be buying again.

All Clinique products came with this pretty little makeup bag. So handy for travels and extra makeup. I love it.

Product Review: Clinique Skincare Products

I love testing out new products and telling you all about it. I am always in pursuit of the next best beauty product, so expect many beauty reviews. I have used a few Clinique products in the past, and I found them good, so I decided to test out a few more, to see if they could become my regulars.

Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter

This is my first time using a body butter. I have heard quite a lot of good things about body butters in general, so I decided to give this Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter a try, and I am happy I did. I have been using it for weeks now, and I love it!

Here is the brief product description –

Luxurious, butter rich body cream penetrates dryness prone skin, delivering a new kind of softness to elbows, knees and heels. So silky, skin drinks it up instantly, stays soothed and comforted all day. This body butter softens rough, dry skin and is easily absorbed into skin. Works for all skin types.

Here are my thoughts –

PROS

  1. It is fragrance free.
  2. It is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
  3. It moisturises the skin perfectly, leaving feeling soft, silky and smooth.
  4. A little goes a long way.
  5. It is easily accessible at Boots, Debenhams, and many beauty stores.
  6. It does not leave the skin oily or greasy.

CONS

  1. It is a bit pricey at £35 for a 350ml jar.

I may be buying this Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter again because I like it. The only issue for me is that I think it is a bit too expensive for what it is.

Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum

I got this serum because I love trying face serums, and I am in need of a good, affordable face serum. I have tried a few great ones, but I found them too pricey and was not able to continue using them. And that is how I bumped into this Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum.

I have been using this serum for weeks now and I have quite a lot to say about it, but first here is the product description –

Here is a custom serum smart enough to understand your skin’s past and change its appearance in the future.

– Addresses the appearance of uneven skin tone, lines and wrinkles, firming, or radiance
– For all ages, all ethnicities
– Five years of research
– Patented technology

Here are my thoughts –

PROS

  1. Small and compact to carry around if needed.
  2. It feels great on the skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean.
  3. A little goes a long way.
  4. Great for all ages and skin tones.
  5. It is fragrance free.
  6. It is easily accessible in most beauty stores like John Lewis, Clinique Website, and many more.

CONS

  1. Too expensive at £49 for a 30ml bottle.
  2. I have not noticed any massive difference on my face, so I am not sure it is doing much if any.

Overall, I know I won’t be buying this serum again.

What do you think of both products? Have you used any of them before?

Winter Clothing Staples Every Woman Needs

There are various things that dictate what type of clothing we wear, which includes everything from our budgets and personal tastes through to the weather and the seasons. During the winter, the wardrobes of most women go through a radical change as they switch their lighter, summer clothing for winter essentials that are practical, warm yet still stylish. It is important for any woman to ensure she has the right clothing essentials for the winter period and there are a number of wardrobe clothing staples that every woman should aim to have during the winter. By making sure that you have the right clothing in your wardrobe this winter you can ensure you stay warm, snug and cosy without compromising on style and confidence no matter where you are going.

Outfit Post OOTD 1

Essentials for your winter wardrobe

If you want to ensure that you are fully prepared for the colder season with a winter wardrobe packed with essentials, here are some of the items you should add to your list:

  • Knee length boots: Winter is not the time for those sling backs or stilettos, particularly if it the weather is very bad. This is why you should make sure you invest in a good pair of knee length boots, as these are versatile as well as stylish and practical. They can be worn for work, a casual trip out, or even a night out because you can team them with skirts, dresses, jeans and more. The amazing eBay website does a great selection of boots and offers some great deals. You save even more money when you shop at eBay by heading to OZCodes for some very generous discounts.

  • Skinny jeans: Skinny jeans are perfect for a number of reasons during the winter. First off, the fact that they cling to you means that you won’t have to worry about that winter chill biting at your legs and ankles because the tightness of the jeans will keep it out. You will also find that their design is perfect for layering items on top in order to keep warm. You can head to retailers such as River Island, Debenhams, for a great choice of skinny jeans to add to your wardrobe.

  • High neck jumper: When it comes to feeling warm and still looking stylish, a high neck jumper is ideal. The great thing about these, apart from the fact that they keep the cold out, is that they can be worn for work, days out or casual evenings out. They also look great with jeans as well as jumpers and work-wear, which makes them a versatile addition to the wardrobe. The Iconic offers a good choice of tops and jumpers so take a look through the selection there to purchase your high neck jumper.

  • Knitted dress: Knitted dresses were in fashion some decades ago but have made a big comeback. Winter shouldn’t mean that you can’t wear a dress and by investing in a knitted dress you can enjoy the style and confidence that comes with wearing a dress without skimping on warmth and practicality.

  • Cashmere sweater: Cashmere has a texture and appearance that oozes luxury and style. Winter is the best time to wear this because you can show off your great fashion sense while revelling in the warmth and comfort of cashmere. A cashmere sweater is therefore an excellent addition to your winter wardrobe and you can enjoy some great deals on these and other sweaters at retailers such as Neverland Store.

  • Winter coat: Of course, a winter coat is essential during this season but keeping warm with your outerwear does not mean you have to do away with style. Invest in a statement coat such as metallic or a bold colour like red in order to brighten up your outfit, add a splash of colour to a gloomy grey day, and keep you looking stylish while you are out and about.

  • Knitted scarf: Scarves are not just good for keeping the cold out but also for adding style to any outfit. Accessorising with a knitted scarf will therefore enable you to enjoy practicality as well as style. You can even opt for a blanket scarf, which will envelope you in warmth but also make your outfit stand out all the more.

  • Leather jacket/coat: Winter is a great time to step out in a leather coat or jacket, as these are too heavy and hot for summer but look great during the colder season. You can really rock out when you wear leather and a stylish leather jacket is perfect for a glam night out as well as a casual shopping trip or day out.

  • Opaque tights: When it comes to winter fashion accessories, always have a pair of black opaque tights to hand. If you want to wear a skirt or dress during the colder weather, you don’t have to worry about having freezing legs when you have these tights. A high quality pair of opaque tights will keep you warm and they look great with skirts and dresses as well as with boots and shoes.

With these winter staples in your wardrobe, you can ensure that you have everything you need to combine style and practicality this winter.

What do you think of these winter wardrobe essentials? Do you have all these in your wardrobe?
