Hey below bloggers! I have not written a blogging tip post in a bit. A lot of juggling has been going on behind the scenes for me, but I am working on a new blogging routine and it looks like I am settling into a new way of running Fashion and Style Police. So do expect regular blog posts from now on. The plan is to go back to blogging more often and so far my new blogging schedule is working really well.
This brings me to the theme of today’s post. I have been blogging for almost 9 years now, and it has been a learning journey all the way. I have gone from blogging a few times a week, to blogging everyday and back again. The learning experience is forever ongoing. Blogging is not something to learn and you stop learning. The big wide web keeps changing and so does your blog, which means forever twerking, learning and relearning things to keep your blog active.

Blogging Tip: Take time off
One thing I have had to learn this past year is that it is ok to take time off. Like most things in life, taking time off is important to keep your ideas fresh and to stay healthy mentally and physically. Being self employed and relying heavily on my blog income made me struggle with taking time off. I must confess, I used to panic whenever I took a couple of days off, but I am pleased to say that is no longer the case.
Since the start of the pandemic, I take as many days off as required and I feel no panic or guilt. The irony of it all is that my views have increased massively even though I now blog less. The panic and fear were just the ego part of me trying to control everything which usually leads to less productivity.
Days off are important for any job especially when you are self employed and running your own business. You are your blog and you cannot afford to break down, and this is why taking time off is important.
The only blogging tip I have for you is to take a break every now and again, so you can come back ready buzzing with fresh ideas that create amazing blog posts. Also, remember to feel no guilt or fear when you do this. Your blog will be fine, your views will rise and your blog readers will understand. You are more than your blog. Stay safe.
