Caroline Flack Covers Cosmopolitan Magazine July 2017

I found this post very difficult to type and publish. Torn between going on with my usual magazine features, and including Cosmopolitan as usual, or skip Cosmopolitan after last week blogger interview saga with Sarah Ashcroft. I decided to go ahead with my British magazines features and include Cosmopolitan magazine as usual. I enjoy featuring magazine features, and I also enjoy reading them. I will carry on as normal, but will stop once I no longer enjoy it. I have decided not to be dragged into any drama that isn’t mine.

Caroline Flack is the latest cover girl for Cosmo. I am not a fan of this cover at all. I am not feeling the background and outfit she has on. I think the white top looks a bit off. I am not so familiar with Caroline Flack either so I am not in a hurry to read this issue. If I bump into it, I would read it but I won’t go looking for it.

Some of the features on the cover do sound interesting. I would like to read about the new rules of summer style, and I would also like to read Caroline Flack’s interview. I hear she is the host of the TV show – Love Island, and she has been accused of flirting with contestant Alex Bowen, in the last season. I would like to read more about that. Here is what Flack had to say about the controversy –

“I didn’t fancy anyone from the show last year and I don’t this year. You shouldn’t mix business with pleasure, unless, of course, you fall in love – you can’t help that, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

Karen Elson Covers Harper’s Bazaar June 2017

Karen Jill Elson is a 38-year-old English model, singer-songwriter and guitarist, and she is the cover girl for Harper’s Bazaar June 2017.

On the newsstands cover, Karen Elson is wearing a Gucci dress and Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery, and she looks fabulous. I love the photo, I think it is a great shot, the fox looks gorgeous with her, and the location –  a Palladian mansion in Kent, looks so beautiful. I wonder who owns it.

I must confess, I have never heard of Karen Elson until this cover, so although it looks like an interesting issue, I am not in hurry to read it. I would love to listen to her songs though, her new album sounds like it would be a good one, so I will be looking out for that on Spotify when next I am chanced.

Here, Karen Elson is wearing Dior Haute Couture, and looking magical! She has a very distinct look, with her slender figure, copper curls and milky pale skin. She is the definition of a wild English rose.

On her divorce from rockstar Jack White

I view him as a 50/50 partner and I would never want to have his role diminished. We adore our kids and we’re close – we have to be for our children.

‘In the days when my parents split up, it was “never speak to your father again” kind of thing, and I don’t have that attitude at all… I’ve seen when people have terrible break-ups, when a person is bitter, it’s not good for your kids, it’s not good for your family. I’ve seen a lot of that, and I don’t ever want it.’

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Covers Glamour June 2017

The beautiful Rosie Huntington-Whiteley covers Glamour June 2017, and she looks so beautiful on the cover. Have you read or seen this issue?

I like this cover a lot. I think Glamour went all out with this issue, and they slayed it! It looks amazing. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is a beauty so I am not surprised she looks stunning on this cover. Her hair, makeup and dress are spot on.

I would love to read Rosie’s interview too. Here are a few excerpts from her interview with Glamour –

On living in Los Angeles 

“Oh my God. I miss everything about home. I get homesick a lot… I miss the culture. I miss the people and I miss the realness of Brits and the sense of humour.”

I can imagine how homesick she is.

 

How to take the perfect selfie

“’Well, you need half an hour, you need great lighting, and you need to be prepared to take about 100 pictures of yourself, edit through 100 pictures of yourself and then filter them three times.’ You know, come on! Be real! That’s the way it is. I try to be mindful of that when I’m posting pictures, but again, it’s part of what I do and I hope that people don’t feel…that my social media is too obnoxious.”

 

If these are the steps to a perfect selfie, then I have never taken one! I don’t even edit my selfies, except using the regular Instagram filter, and I don’t filter them 3 times, lol. I hope there is a lot of exaggeration here, or I would start to worry about my selfies being lame!

I like the sound of her interview already, and I can’t wait to read the entire May issue.
