Today is a new day and my heart is open. That was the mantra on my guided morning meditation today. I recently discovered this amazing YouTube channel – Meditations by Raza and I am so in love with her videos. I have listened to a couple of her guided meditations and her voice is so soothing. The feeling I get after every meditation is so peaceful and relaxing, I could listen to her all day if possible. Prior to finding Raza’s channel, I have tried a couple of meditation apps but I found them too pricey once the free trial ended, so I didn’t carry on with them. I have also tried a few guided meditations on YouTube but I found many of them more distracting than relaxing. Meditations by Raza is the first guided mediation channel I really like.
I fell asleep while listening to a guided meditation
The first time I listened to one of her mediations was just before I went to sleep. The guided meditation was so relaxing, I fell into a deep sleep about 25 minutes into the video. I also had a very restful sleep even though I had vivid dreams. It was so amazing. The second time I listened to her channel was in the morning, I tried a morning guided mediation, and it was so good. I really enjoyed the mediation. I finished it feeling amazing and ready to smash the day. One of the reasons why I like her channel is because she has loads of videos for different kinds of mediation, so there is something for everyone, and her voice is the best for meditating. She is definitely in the right job.
Now that I have found the right guided mediations for me, I can’t imagine not listening to at least one day. Meditating in silence is also good and I will be doing a mixture of both. However, guided mediations help you stay grounded and teach you what to do depending on the results you are after. I think meditating daily is great for mental health, it has worked wonders on mine, and I know it helps many others. It is worth trying if you are dealing with mental health issues like anxiety and mild depression. If you have sleep issues as well, guided mediations may help you drift off. You never know until you try, and your mental health is worth fighting for.
Have a good one.

I love how you started this post: I think having an open heart is really the best practice. I have a hard with meditation as well – I always want to fall asleep or my mind wanders and I don’t realize it until five minutes have past. I do agree that it is a great practice however you can find it: walking, being outdoors, exercise, yoga, etc.
Glad you like the post Dani.
I have never listened to guided meditation before, I keep hearing how great it is though so will have to look in to it x

I love meditation tracks … I often fall asleep listening to meditation or hypnotherapy – it’s incredibly relaxing
Yes it is.
I have insomnia so this is really interesting! I need to try and meditate more!
Yes please do. You may find it helpful.
I need to make relaxing time for me. To just switch off and chill out. Going to give meditation a go x
Please do x
My partner listens to meditations on YouTube and loves them! Glad you’ve found one you like
Yes so amazing.
Thanks so much for this. I love a guided meditation and not heard of Raza before. 25 minutes is just right for me too as I don’t have enough time to spend too long meditating so can just about fit this in.
Yes 25 minutes should be more than enough.
