Outfit Post – Styling a Black Shirt Dress

*PR sample.

Hey fashion lovers. I hope your week has been good to you. I got this lovely black Eline Shirt Dress with Tassle from Elvi the other day, and I enjoyed styling it. The whole idea is to wear this shirt dress alone but as the weather is still chilly, I decided to style mine with a pair of leggings. I really like the design of this shirt dress. The tassled detail takes this beautiful black dress to a whole new level. I also like the self-tie waist detail. It finishes off the design beautifully. It is a piece I know I am going to be wearing for many years to come.

I paired this shirt dress with a pair of Molly Jeans. I have had in my wardrobe for a few years now. It is one of my favourite pairs of jeans, and it always does the job. I got the flats blue flats sometime last year and I have worn it a couple of times now. It is super comfy and manages to always look good. I think it is because it has an unusual bright blue colour. It always stands out for the right reasons.

Styling this outfit was quick and easy. The pieces worked out well together and it took me only a few minutes to put the look together. I am happy winter is almost. I am excited spring is almost here. It would be nice to start styling lighter pieces like what I have on more often. How is the weather where you are?

Outfit Post – Looking forward to spring

*Collaborative post.

We are almost half way into February and the end of winter is drawing near. I am seriously looking forward to spring now. It is not my favourite season, but it is a good change from this cold winter weather. Plus, we pretty much skipped spring last year, with the extended winter weather that ended in March. And the summer weather that started in April. Having some spring weather this year will be amazing.

I got this lovely Gerda Self Ribbon Blouse by Elvi Ladies Clothing some weeks ago, and wore it to my nephew’s 10th birthday party last week in Chelmsford Essex. The design of the blouse caught my eye immediately when I saw it. Prior to getting my hands on this blouse, I had nothing like it in my wardrobe. The self ribbon detail is a beautiful design. I love it and I also love the fluted sleeve. I think this blouse is really pretty. What do you think?

Everything else I have on is an oldie. I love the black jeans. It fits like a glove and is my go to jeans for many looks. Back in the day, I struggled with finding the right pair of jeans. It was either too low and tight, or too baggy with a shabby look. So I was very happy to find this particular pair of jeans and a few others many few years ago.

Outfit Post – My Birthday Look

It was my birthday some days ago, and I am super thankful for another year. I always look forward to birthdays, mine and my loved ones. It allows me reflect on how far I have come and plan the road ahead. I enjoying celebrating life and that is really what birthdays are about. Recently, I have been thinking of how we spend time and energy and things that do not matter.

We chase friendships/relationships that are dead and buried, we seek validation from everyone both online(especially online) and in real life, and it sucks. I have chosen to not be bothered with certain things anymore and instead focus my energy and time and those that truly matter. And it has made me very happy and satisfied with my life and those in it.

Which is why I switched off my birthday notification on my personal Facebook page. That way my birthday stays private and no one gets notified. If you remember, then it means you are special. That way, I don’t have to worry about who wishes me happy birthday and who doesn’t. It felt so good. I also took myself out of a certain Whatsapp group that wasn’t doing anything for me or anyone to be honest. That felt great. I have come to understand what really matters, and that quality always supersedes quantity.

Outfit Post – My Birthday Look

This was my birthday look. I got this red turtleneck dress last year. This is my second time of wearing the dress. I love the way it looks. The bright colour makes me feel a lot happier. I think it is great for the current weather. I have had the black sleeveless waistcoat for a few years now. It always works well as a light outerwear, more for fashion than function. The tights came into my wardrobe last year. I reviewed on Fashion and Style Police. The tights are advertised as magic tights that do not rip, and they are yet to rip. Loving the pair.

My black boots, sunglasses and cross body bag are some of my go-to black accessories. I love them.
