Send Only Quality Content

I think sending only quality content is the main way to avoid spamming your blog followers because they every content would be useful. The way to get around this is to rethink every content you want to share to be sure it would be well received by your followers. That way you would only share quality content.

Send More Personalised Emails

Personalised emails are more likely to be opened and read than the emails that are not. So ensure the content you are sending out to subscribers are personalised as much as possible, especially the newsletters.

Allow Subscribers to Opt Out

The last thing you want is to make it difficult for your blog subscribers to opt out. That is the fastest way for your email to land in the spam folder. Make the opt out option clear so subscribers know what to do if they no longer want to hear from you.
