Do’s and Don’ts For Fall 2019 Fashion

*Collaborative post

If you’re updating your wardrobe this fall, it’s time to start shopping. But before you hit the mall or jump online, make sure you’re up to date with all the most recent trends and styles. Plus, a few fashion faux pas you’ll definitely want to stay away from this autumn! Because as Heidi Klum famously coined, “In fashion, one day you’re in and the next you’re out.”

Make Sure You’re Wearing The Right Prints

Animal prints have always been a big part of fashion. Some, like cheetah, almost always have a place in your closet. But, there are a few new print trends this fall that you’ll either want to jump on board with or leave it up to the animals to rock.

Snakeskin is having a major moment and you can see it just about everywhere. Mainly we’re seeing it on shoes, such as these Madden Girl snakeskin booties. But the print is also being worn on tops, dresses, and even pants. With such neutral colors, snakeskin pairs well with tons of other colors.

Two prints that we saw come in and out of this year’s fashion faster than lightning were cowskin and zebra. You might remember Meghan Markle rocking a pair of cow print heels to an event this past January, and while the pattern was around for a bit longer, it died off pretty much completely come spring.

Zebra was another print that we saw on the shelves of H&M that quickly went on sale.

Know The Right Jacket To Rock

Matching your outfit to your jacket is (obviously) the best way to complete any outfit. But, wearing a monochromatic jacket/ensemble was one fashion trend from earlier in the year that just didn’t work. Although we do always love a good white on white, it was the dark or bright colors, as seen on Bella Hadid in April, that really just looked too busy. The style was quickly over shined by long camel coats and sequin jackets. Which, likely thanks to Taylor Swift, are more popular than one might suspect right now.

If you’re searching for the perfect fall jacket, we’ve found it here.

Accessorize Appropriately

Ethical and sustainable jewelry is officially the only way to go when it comes to accessorizing. With the recent push for eco-friendly measures in government, the fashion industry has responded. Brands are focused on reducing their footprint and offering more sustainable clothing lines (like the one from H&M). But the jewelry industry has made the biggest strides. Lab-grown diamonds and gems are exploding in popularity due to their 100% ethical source. And it’s not just with fashion jewelry. You can now get a mined-quality diamond that’s created in a lab. So when you start shopping for your vintage engagement ring to match your antique Chanel purse, you can walk away with peace of mind that the design may be based on another era, but the technology is that of the 21st century.

Celebrities Getting Rid Of Tattoos

Celebrities are not immune to making bad judgements when it comes to men and tattoos, in fact they even make more stupid decisions than mere mortals like us. Many celebrities are known to have some form of body art done once they pledge their undying love to their partner, only to go through laser removal treatment, to have it removed once the love turns sour. It happens time and time again, I wonder if they would ever learn.

Here are some celebrities that have gotten rid of the body ink:

Adrienne Bailon

Celebrities getting rid of tattoos

Actress and TV host Adrienne Bailon had Rob Kardashian’s (her ex) name tattooed on her behind. She was excited to get it off years after they broke up –

“I’m excited, anxious, excited more than anything. I think I’ve waited a long time, long enough, to have this officially gone,” she said, adding: “I thinking living the last six years with somebody’s name on your body is a little weird and that’s more painful, like, you know, to have to explain it to my kids.”

The star had attempted to get the tattoo off and went through several treatment but they didn’t get it off. She finally got rid of the tattoo when she chose the Picosure Laser Treatment which did the trick.

Angelina Jolie

The talented Angelina Jolie had her then husband’s name – “Billy Bob”, tattooed on her arm. She got the tattoo off and has since tattooed her birth place on her same arm as you can see above. She was quoted saying:

“I’ll never be stupid enough to have a man’s name tattooed on me again”

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria had three tattoos in the honour of her ex husband – Tony Parker, she had the word “nine” (Tony’s basketball number) on the back of her neck, the date of their marriage on their wrist and some other tattoo hidden somewhere private on her body. She had them taken off two years after their messy divorce.

Denise Richards

Actress Denise Richards got rid of her “Charlie” tattoo after divorcing Charlie Sheen, and had it covered up with a fairy instead. I love the way she turned a bad situation into a good one. Good for her.

Melanie Griffith

Melanie Griffith neatly erased her ex husband’s name, “Antonio” off her heart tattoo after their divorce. Nice job, but I would have taken the entire tattoo off, it looks funny now.

Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum is still in the process of getting her ex husband name – “Seal” completely off her arm.

So we have seen how some of the celebrities waste no time in getting the ink off? Have you had any tattoo work done that you now regret? Drop me a comment, let’s chat.
