Beauty Plans for 2017

2017 is a year of paying attention to my beauty and skincare routine. I started paying more attention to my skincare last year and I plan to continue this year. I turn 30 in a few weeks (whoop whoop) and I now understand the importance of having a great skincare routine. I wish I started giving my skin some TLC like 5 years but it is never too late to start caring.

Here are my beauty plans for 2017:

Exfoliate Weekly

I exfoliate my skin once a week and I plan to continue this routine this year. I am yet to find the perfect exfoliator for my skin so feel free to recommend any fab exfoliator in the comment section.

Use a Mask Weekly

I use a mask once a week and I LOVE what it does to my skin. My skin literally feels like a baby’s bum so I will be continue using a face mask every week. It is the best part of my skincare routine.

Have a Balanced Diet

I need to eat and drink right this year. I don’t drink the recommended daily amount of water but I am working on it. I plan to start exceeding the daily of amount of water I should be drinking. A balanced diet works wonders on the skin.

Beauty Sleep

I have a new app on my iPhone that tells me when to go to bed so I get 7/8 hours sleep and it serves as a nice reminder. My skin feels amazing when I get my beauty sleep regularly. And I get more work done once I have had a good night’s sleep.

Makeup Free

I hardly wear makeup because I work from home, hardly go away worth applying makeup to, so my skin breathes easy. This is going to carry on in 2017.

Wipe it Off

And when I do have my makeup on, I make sure I wipe every trace off. I have not gone to bed with my makeup on in years now and my skin thanks me for it.

Do you have any beauty/skincare plans for 2017?

Beauty Products for Busy Bloggers

Working from home alone with two babies under the age of 2 is hard work. I usually have to write and schedule posts well in advance to keep Fashion and Style Police running. Then comes the publishing of the posts, the sharing and resharing on the various social media channels, which I personally find is the hardest part of it all but I am gradually becoming a social butterfly.

It is a full-time job and I can only do so much when my babies are napping during the day, so that means I do most of my writing and other blog stuff at night and in the early hours of the morning, which also means I am ALWAYS under a lot of stress, and my face is usually messed up with all sort of stress related skin conditions.

I have been busy discovering products to help relieve stress and tension, and help with my facial breakouts, and I currently have my eye on the these two products sold on Just My Look:

Babyliss Pro Foot Spa

I don’t have the luxury of time to go to a salon for a proper pedicure or manicure so this foot spa will be so ideal. This smart product is created to help relieve stress and tension on tired and aching feet with a combination of massage heat and bubbles. I am usually up and about so it will be great to unwind with this in the evening after a busy day.  I will be using this a skin care oil, probably Bio Oil to perform the magic. This Babyliss Pro Foot Spa is a must-have this Christmas. A 20 minutes morning session in this will help me stay energised and relaxed all day.

Kaeso Calming Cleanser

If you read my previous product review, you will know my face breakouts a lot (click here if you missed the post) and it has become worse since I had my babies. At the end of day, the breakouts all come down to stress, the more stressed out I am, the more breakouts I have, so I need a face cleanser to help my sensitive skin look refresh and energised.

I have been struggling to manage it for months now and I am open to trying any product that promises a miracle. I have recently come across this Kaeso Calming Cleanser sold on the Just My Look website and I am eager to try it out for myself. This calming cleanser is specially designed for the sensitive skin, it gently removes makeup and other skin impurities, leaving the skin cleansed and soothed.

This Kaeso Calming Cleanser sounds like a product that will be right up my street. I will be trying it out.

Have you tried any of these products before? Do you have any beauty product(s) that helps relieve stress and tension?
