Ashley Graham Covers British Vogue January 2017

The beautiful American model – Ashley Graham covers the January 2017 issue of British Vogue, and she looks divine on it. I have never heard of this beauty before so it was kind of good to see her on a Vogue cover. I am not completely surprised she is on it though, Vogue tends to feature models a lot more than regular celebs which is kind of good thing I guess.

This issue sounds like a good read. Here are a few excerpts from Graham’s interview with the magazine –

Her career journey:

“For 10 years I’d been told I was always going to be a catalogue girl, never a cover girl. Well, I got with IMG and did five covers in a year, boom, boom, boom. See, if you have a pretty face doors will open, but your job isn’t just to walk through them, it’s to get invited back,” she told D’Souza. “Look, I hit the beauty jackpot, I get it, but that’s not enough, you’ve got to have more to have longevity in this business. It’s always been, ‘OK, so what can I do now?’”

I agree with what she has said here completely. The job is to get invited back.

On being called a plus size model:

“When we’re supposed to be talking about diversity for women, it feels so divisive and purpose-defeating, giving us yet another label,” she said. She does, however, acknowledge that her body shape, and positive promotion of it, has been not only her own USP, but an inspiration to millions of women who feel forgotten when it comes to finding fashion to fit.

I like the fact that Ashley Graham looks happy in her own skin.

I am on the fence with this issue. I am not sure if I would be picking up a copy or not.

Scarlett Johansson Covers Cosmopolitan UK June 2016

Cosmopolitan UK June 2016

The lovely Scarlett Johansson is gracing the cover of Cosmopolitan UK June issue, for the first time in 9 years, and she is looks fierce on it. I love the all black outfit she has going, with a bit of skin on display. The short hair looks amazing on her as well. This outfit is putting me in the summer mood already. I can’t wait to rock some summer pieces, and enjoy the lovely weather. The weather in Cheshire has been up and down like a yo-yo, for the past 1 week, so here is to hoping.

I can see this June issue clearly standing out on the newsstands, the black outfit, pose and blue background works incredibly well. It is a stunning cover, with an even more stunning cover girl. The only thing I would have wanted to see on her is her signature red lips, but her makeup here looks good too.

In this Cosmo issue, the 31-year-old outspoken cover girl bares it all. No topic is off-limits, she dishes out her thoughts on planned parenthood, equal pay for ‘every woman’, losing love and finding love, being a wife and mum to a toddler, and everything else in between. It promises to be a good read so I may be getting a copy of this. Plus it is just £1, which is great.

Cosmo Magazine UK

I love this second look. The white mesh dress and the sandals look so stylish paired together. I am loving the sandals especially, it looks fabulous.

There are other articles on the cover that look quite interesting as well. Articles like – Young, Hot & Loaded – We partied with Donald Trump’s daughter, I would love to read this simply for entertainment, I can’t stand Trump and I hope he doesn’t win the election, How to Rule the Coolest Company in the World, by the Woman who does, sounds like an inspiring read. What do you think?

Kate Moss Covers British Vogue May 2016

British Vogue has been getting all the magazine covers right in my eyes, this 2016. I am totally digging all of them, especially the last cover with Rihanna, and this latest cover is no exception. The beautiful Kate Moss is on the cover of Vogue UK May 2016 issue, looking amazing. The British supermodel is a regular, she has been featured on quite a number of Vogue Covers, and I am not surprised she has, she loves the camera, and the camera loves her.

For this issue, Kate Moss was photographed by Craig McDean. I am loving the rock-chick look she has going on here. It is so her, and she looks so good. The second picture below is giving me life. This should have been the cover picture in my opinion, it is more edgy.

I know Vogue loves having Kate Moss on their cover, and I can understand why, but I am getting bored of seeing her face on the magazine covers if I am being honest. I will like to see other fresh faces on the cover. I personally won’t be buying this issue as it does not excite me at all. I feel I have read all there is to read about Kate Moss, and I know many other readers feel the same. Here are some quotes confirming my thoughts:

Kate Moss on British Vogue’s cover again. AGAIN. Am I the only one wishing they’d branch out once in a while?!?

It amazes me that they always find something to write about Kate Moss.

Very boring, I feel like I’ve seen this before …
Also I’m tired of Kate, she doesn’t bring anything new to the table anymore.

I see where the comments are coming from because I am tired as well.

What are your thoughts? Do you enjoy seeing Kate on magazine covers so often? Sound off in the comment section.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day.
