Emily Ratajkowski Covers Glamour UK August 2017

The stunning Emily Ratajkowski – the 26-year-old actress, model and UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, covers Glamour UK August 2017. This is her first Glamour magazine cover, and she looks lovely on it. I love the entire look. The background, her hair and makeup score full points.

The cover girl chats with Glamour about everything, from feminism to her career. Here are some excerpts from the interview

On Feminism

“To start saying that certain people need to have a license to be feminist is insane…Emma Watson said feminism isn’t some kind of tool to beat other women with, it’s supposed to be a freedom of choice. And I believe in sexuality. I think it’s a wonderful thing and, if anything, I want women to understand their own sexuality outside of a patriarchal male gaze. We’re the core of sexual beings, and I think that’s something that should be celebrated rather than attacked.

I agree with her completely. I have written about feminism and me being a feminist a few times on here, and it is a topic I would still keep talking about because I am passionate about it. Feminism should not be a dirty word. It should be celebrated rather than attacked!

On Social Media

“It’s not real, it’s a version of reality, and as a visual person who loves art, photographs, fashion, I’m kind of interested in fantasy…But it’s important to realise that some people have a hard time distinguishing what’s fantasy and what’s reality. We owe it to our followers to show the glam, but then also the real you.”

I love this woman already! She breaks it down so well. Many of us are obsessed with social media and the vanity that comes with it. Many believe all they see online, and aspire to be that, which is all good, but we should remember that what we see on social media is not always the real deal.

I am reading this issue already and I am loving it. Will you be reading? What do you think of this cover and Emily Ratajkowski? Please drop your comments below, let’s talk.

Ashley Graham Covers Harper’s Bazaar July 2017

Hey peeps! A new day, a new magazine cover. Today’s cover is all about the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar, and Ashley Gralam is slaying on the cover.

I really like this magazine cover. It is a great shot and that beautiful smile is sure to attract thousands if not millions of eyeballs on the newsstands. I can’t wait to see it in flesh.

Ashley Gralam kind of looks like Eva Mendes on this magazine cover. I had to take another look to confirm it was really Ashley Gralam, and I am sure I am not the only one that would think that. Do you think both ladies look alike? I think they do.

Ashley Graham Harper's Bazaar Image

I am a fan of anything Ashley Graham. I think she is a phenomenon woman and astonishing beauty. And I truly admire her.

Ashley Graham prefers to call herself a body activist, rather than a plus-size model – but labels are less important than her bold confidence and voluptuous curves, along with her campaigning message of female empowerment, self-acceptance and the compelling beauty of diversity.

On the subscriber’s cover, Ashley wears shirt by Marina Rinaldi, shorts by Good American, earrings her own. This is also photographed by Alexi Lubomirski.

One thing I really admire about Ashley is her carriage. I think she carries herself really well. She is the definition of a strong, beautiful and body confident woman.

Graham is a size 18, and proud of it. “I love my body,” she says. “When I look in the mirror, I see a woman who is strong and ambitious, satisfied with who she is,” she says.

This Harper’s Bazaar July issue is now available on the newsstands. Have you read it? Will you be reading it?

Ariana Grande On Cosmopolitan UK May 2017 Issue

The cute Ariana Grande covers the May issue of Cosmopolitan UK and she looks lovely as always. I love her signature ponytail hairdo, and her makeup is always on point, especially her eyelashes. I wonder where she gets her eyelash extension supplies from. Her makeup is makeup goals for me. This is a fab cover!

I can clearly see myself reading this issue of Cosmo. From the topics on the cover, it looks like it would be a great read. I would love to read the “Dress like a Boss” article, “How to join the 150k Job Club”, and “Beauty Bloggers: Can we trust anything they say” articles. They sound interesting.

I do find it funny that magazines editors are mostly threatened by bloggers in general, I find it extremely flattering. I am not sure if this Beauty Bloggers article is a positive or negative article, but it is funny that many of these magazine bosses are having sleepless nights over bloggers.

I think there is more than enough room for magazines and bloggers, there should be no competition or bad blood at all. I celebrate the magazines I read, and I truly enjoy writing about them. I have been reading magazines long before I started reading blogs or writing on Fashion and Style Police, and I have a separate place in my heart for magazines and blogs. They feed a different part of me in different ways.

I like blogs because I can relate more to them, and I like magazines because I can’t relate with them, if that makes any sense. I do prefer reading blogs to magazines and that could be because I am a blogger and blogs are free!

Anyways, back to Ariana Grande. She looks gorgeous on the cover and I want to read this issue now.
