Firework Displays to Watch out for in the New Year

Christmas is in a few days and the New Year is almost here. I love watching firework displays. It is usually so beautiful. I remember watching some displays in Dubai last week and it was a magical experience. There are various great displays across the UK too so I will be looking out for them this time. Stagecoach, who offer unbeatable bus prices, have written about the top 5 displays you should be heading to, in time for the new year.

London

I love the city of London. It is one city I need to explore as a tourist but I have not had the opportunity. This amazing city is home to the Big Ben, London Eye and Buckingham Palace. In the past, you have sat at home watching the fireworks display on the TV – so this year, why not gather with the thousands on the Thames come the 31st December? I bet you would enjoy it even more.

The tickets are priced at £10 per person and can be bought in groups of four. A second batch of tickets will be released soon, so keep an eye out on the official website for more information.

Edinburgh

I have visited the lovely city of Edinburgh a few years ago. It was a short weekend getaway so I didn’t have time to explore the entire city the way I would have wanted to. I am hoping I get an app to visit Edinburgh again; maybe in the new year.

The Hogmanay New Year festival is one festival that caters to all, with so many various activities taking place on the day. It is a family friendly festival with activities starting at 1:00pm on New Year’s Eve. So the little kiddies can take part in some fun filled activities before bedtime.

You can get more info about what’s happening at the Edinburgh Hogmanay festival on their official website. Tickets vary in price — grab them before they sell out!

If you’re looking for something a little less crowded, take a look at some of top picks across different parts of the UK:

Newcastle

I visited Newcastle for the first time some weeks ago. It is a lovely city so I can imagine their New Year’s Eve event would be as lovely as the city. The most exclusive New Year’s Eve event takes place at the prestigious Vermont Hotel in Newcastle!

Go dressed to impress enjoy a Gatsby-inspired gala in the sparkling ballroom with jazz music and plenty of dancing – and don’t forget the vintage alcoholic beverages. With a view of the Newcastle/Gateshead Quayside, it’ll be a night to remember.

The tickets for the first-class event are priced at £159 per person. Book today on the official website to avoid missing out.

Manchester

Manchester kind of feels like my sister. It is 45 minutes away from where I live so I get to go into the city quite regularly. For a less crowded New Year’s Eve celebration, go for the most upmarket hotels around, the Malmaison in Manchester is one of the best places to celebrate the New Year this year. You are sure to get an evening of good music and grand buffet, featuring cooked roasts and local seafood.

The tickets range from £59 to £100 per person. Visit their official website to grab your tickets.

Leeds

Leeds is another city I have explored a bit but would love to explore some more. If you like the sound of a rooftop party where you can dance away under the stars, head to Angelica’s rooftop party for a night to remember. Starting at 21:00pm and ending at 02:30am, you will be entering 2018 in a great location with an electrifying atmosphere. Book your tickets now to avoid any disappointment!

Where will the New Year find you? Have you made any plans?
