Hey peeps! I hope everyone enjoyed the bank holiday. I know I did. Although it was cold and wet outside, I made the most of the quiet time. We have been doing a lot of reading in the last few days. The kids love reading books, and I encourage them to read even more. They have eBooks downloaded on their Leapfrogs, but they actually prefer reading physical books. Here are some of their favourite books at the moment.
The Tickle Book
The kids love reading this Tickle Book. They have had the book for months now and they still laugh every time I read it to them. I can see why this book is a hit with them. I do find it very funny too
The Tickle Book is written by Ian Whybrow and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. This colourful funny board book is great for children between the ages of 3 – 5 years old. It is full of fun rhymes and silly scenarios. We got ours for £8.99.
The Beginner’s Bible
The Beginner’s Bible by Catherine DeVries is another hit in our house. My twins love reading the bible stories in this book, and as a believer, I am thrilled they enjoy reading their bible.
This bible uses simple text and bright images to grab children’s attention. It is great for children between the ages of 2 – 5 years old. You can grab a copy online for £10.99.
Let’s make a cake
Let’s make a cake is one of the newest book in our kiddies bookshelf. My daughter enjoys reading this book in her preschool so I had to find it. After searching online for days, I finally stumbled on a preloved copy on eBay for £2.29.
Let’s make a cake by Wendy Body and illustrated by Adrienne Geoghegan is a great book for any child learning to read. This is one book my kiddies can actually read correctly by themselves. It is an amazing first reading book.
Peppa’s Easter Egg Hunt
This is another favourite with the kids. Peppa’s Easter Egg Hunt is interesting book for Peppa Pig’s fans. It can serve as a fantastic Easter present instead of the good old Easter egg gift.
We got this Peppa Pig book for £3.74 on Amazon. It is ideal for children between the ages of 2 – 5 years old.
What do you think of these children’s book? Have your kids read any of them? Please share your thoughts.
