Laser Hair Removal Treatment have become very popular in the last few years. I had 6 Laser Hair Removal Sessions on my chin in 2015/2016, and I am still very happy with the result. I still have to wax a few hairs off at home every 6/8 weeks but it is nothing compared to what I was dealing with before my treatment.
This Laser Hair Removal Treatment is very effective for many of us but for the treatment to work effectively and safely, there are some precautions you have to take. It is an expensive treatment
The Dos And Don’ts Of Laser Hair Removal Treatment
Here are some of the dos and don’ts of Laser Hair Removal Treatment –
Do shave
You don’t want visible hairs on the area where you are having the treatment done as the hairs would get singed. You can shave in between sessions to get the hairs off. Shaving is the best way to get rid off hairs without damaging the roots.
Don’t wax, thread or epilate
Don’t wax, thread or epilate while you are having the laser hair removal treatment, as it would remove the hair from the roots. The laser treatment works because the machine used is attracted to the hair’s pigment underneath the skin. So if the hairs are waxed off for example, there won’t be anything on the hair for the laser to zap. If this happens, you might have to wait up to another four to six weeks for the root to re-form until you can be treated again.
Do wear sunscreen
You need to have on a high factor sunscreen. Your skin becomes more sensitive to UV rays after having the Laser Hair Removal Treatment, so make sure you protect your skin.
Don’t apply makeup
So no foundation, powder, concealer or any sort of makeup on the area to be treated. Having makeup on the area could lead to skin burns while having the treatment.
Do avoid sun exposure
You should avoid sun exposure while undergoing the treatment. Excessive exposure to sun could damage your skin as it is now more sensitive to UV rays.
Excessive hair growth can be very uncomfortable for a lot of women. So if you feel you need to get rid off your body hairs, you should look into having a Laser Hair Removal Treatment done.
