Some weeks ago, I wrote a how to get your makeup to last all day. I couldn’t fit in all the products I wanted to into that post, so I decided to write-up a part 2. In the previous post, I mentioned how important it is to use quality makeup products in the right order. We covered Primer, Foundation, Concealer and Face Powder (in that order) so go have a read to find the beauty products I recommended.
Now we are going to talk about some other amazing products that would help your makeup last all day long –
Eyebrow Shake Filling Powder
If you have been reading Fashion and Style Police for years, you may have read the rise and fall of the eyebrow. It covers the many eras of the eyebrows and how making them up has changed. You may even find your eyebrows on there. I use the Rimmel Brow Shake Filling Powder. It works great for my eyebrows. They come in various shades – soft black, medium brown, light brown and dark brown.
This 3 in 1 eyebrow makeup fill, defines and lines the eyebrows. I never have to top my brows up when I apply this powder.
Eyeliner
When it comes to eyeliners, I recommend the Duo Kajal + Eyeliner by Lola. I love the fact that it is a 2 in 1 product. The Kajal lines the eyes beautifully and the eyeliner works great too! It stays on for ages which is amazing. No need for top ups at all.
Mascara
I love paying attention to the mascaras I use. Since I have naturally long lashes and I love enhancing them with a great mascara. I love the Rimmel London New Volume Shake Mascara a lot. It gives my eyelashes the right volume from root to tip. I use it quite regularly and it stays on all day. Plus it is also waterproof.
The Rimmel London Scandaleyes is another great mascara too! It lasts and lasts thanks to the shake technology and it stays on for hours too! If you are after quality and affordable mascaras, you need to check out these 2.
Eyeshadow
Eyeshadows are a must for me when it comes to makeup. I have loads but will recommend this Sleek Eyeshadow Palette. There are a few of them in my makeup drawers and they are really long-lasting with pretty different shades. They stay on all day. I usually have to wipe them off with my makeup remover. The palettes are also very affordable which is a plus.
Lip Primer
In other for your lipstick to stay put, you need to apply a Lip Primer before your lipstick. I use MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base and I have done so for many years. It does exactly what it says on the pack. It prepares my lips and keeps my lipstick on all day.
Lipsticks
I love having various shades of lipsticks because the shade I put on depends on my mood. There are so many lipsticks in my makeup drawers thanks to PR samples. Most of them are really good but I will recommend MAC Ruby Woo for those who like the bold red matte look. It is one of my favourite MAC lipsticks. I never get tired of wearing it.
Lip Pencils
Lip Pencils are important when it comes to making sure your makeup stays on all day. I love my MAC Lip Pencil. It looks amazing with most of my lipsticks and it lines my lips beautifully.
Highlighter
I am kind of new to Highlighters. I started experimenting with them a few years ago and I am now hooked on the Sleek Highlighting Palette. It is so good. This palette suits all skin tones. The brand does not test on animals and the shades are beautiful.
Finishing Spray
There are a couple of Finishing Sprays in the beauty industry. I have used many of them and most are great. One of them is this Rimmel London #Insta Fix & Go. It is a 2 in 1 product – Primer and Setting Spray. It keeps the makeup in place for up to 8 hours.
These makeup products are all amazing. They help my makeup stay on for as long as I need it too and they are all quite affordable. Have you used any of them?
I agree it is important to wear quality makeup. That’s why I always find it difficult to change from my tried and trusted brands even to another quality brand. I haven’t tried any of these yet.
The palette of eyeshadows interests me as mine is getting near to needing to replace. I am a minimalist with my makeup box and tend to have only 1 of each I am using. I think I will try your setting spray. I am a big one for setting sprays. My face doesn’t feel finished without it. I haven’t tried this one.
This setting spray is very good. You should try it. Thanks Carol.
Wow. So this will avoid you guys to retouch from time to time? Great tips.
Yea. Thanks Michael.
I use Urban Decay setting spray and i love m Laura Mercier highlighter. Anytime I take pics, it pops up and gives my skin a glow. I love bright lipstick and shadow that pops on my skin and I don’t go anywhere fancy without eyeliner and done brows.
Oh lovely. I love bright lipsticks too!
Excellent article. MAC is my go to red lipstick. It lasts all day and it’s a gorgeous creamy deep color. But this woo looks amazing. I will buy this shade for sure.
It is a lovely shade 💄
Wonderful tips especially for working women who are busy all day. My wife would love these.

My friends using Duo Kajal and I can see how great the product is. I’ve been looking for it since lastweek but can’t find it in store.

I know the new volume rimmel london mascara, and I love it! I always have it in my bag. I’ve never tries a lighter but I guess it’s time to give it a try!
Yes do try it.
I am always amazed about all of the product you use to assist in beauty. I think you do amazingly well with your beauty products. I will share this with my daughter.
Please do share. Thank you.
This is timely. I am looking for a new Mascara which can give me the “right” volume and Rimmel’s would be perfect. I love their lipsticks but this will be my first time to try their mascara. Happy to know their waterproof too. Thank you for sharing.
Oh good to hear. Thanks Clarice.
My wife has been very particular about her make up lately, especially her eye-brow make up. She is always asking me what looks best. I’ll have to show her all of these. Thank you for sharing!
