Some weeks ago, I wrote a how to get your makeup to last all day. I couldn’t fit in all the products I wanted to into that post, so I decided to write-up a part 2. In the previous post, I mentioned how important it is to use quality makeup products in the right order. We covered Primer, Foundation, Concealer and Face Powder (in that order) so go have a read to find the beauty products I recommended.

Now we are going to talk about some other amazing products that would help your makeup last all day long –

Eyebrow Shake Filling Powder

If you have been reading Fashion and Style Police for years, you may have read the rise and fall of the eyebrow. It covers the many eras of the eyebrows and how making them up has changed. You may even find your eyebrows on there. I use the Rimmel Brow Shake Filling Powder. It works great for my eyebrows. They come in various shades – soft black, medium brown, light brown and dark brown.

This 3 in 1 eyebrow makeup fill, defines and lines the eyebrows. I never have to top my brows up when I apply this powder.

Eyeliner

When it comes to eyeliners, I recommend the Duo Kajal + Eyeliner by Lola. I love the fact that it is a 2 in 1 product. The Kajal lines the eyes beautifully and the eyeliner works great too! It stays on for ages which is amazing. No need for top ups at all.

Mascara

I love paying attention to the mascaras I use. Since I have naturally long lashes and I love enhancing them with a great mascara. I love the Rimmel London New Volume Shake Mascara a lot. It gives my eyelashes the right volume from root to tip. I use it quite regularly and it stays on all day. Plus it is also waterproof.

The Rimmel London Scandaleyes is another great mascara too! It lasts and lasts thanks to the shake technology and it stays on for hours too! If you are after quality and affordable mascaras, you need to check out these 2.

Eyeshadow

Eyeshadows are a must for me when it comes to makeup. I have loads but will recommend this Sleek Eyeshadow Palette. There are a few of them in my makeup drawers and they are really long-lasting with pretty different shades. They stay on all day. I usually have to wipe them off with my makeup remover. The palettes are also very affordable which is a plus.

Lip Primer

In other for your lipstick to stay put, you need to apply a Lip Primer before your lipstick. I use MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base and I have done so for many years.  It does exactly what it says on the pack. It prepares my lips and keeps my lipstick on all day.

Lipsticks

I love having various shades of lipsticks because the shade I put on depends on my mood. There are so many lipsticks in my makeup drawers thanks to PR samples. Most of them are really good but I will recommend MAC Ruby Woo for those who like the bold red matte look. It is one of my favourite MAC lipsticks. I never get tired of wearing it.

Lip Pencils

Lip Pencils are important when it comes to making sure your makeup stays on all day. I love my  MAC Lip Pencil. It looks amazing with most of my lipsticks and it lines my lips beautifully.

Highlighter

I am kind of new to Highlighters. I started experimenting with them a few years ago and I am now hooked on the Sleek Highlighting Palette. It is so good. This palette suits all skin tones. The brand does not test on animals and the shades are beautiful.

Finishing Spray

There are a couple of Finishing Sprays in the beauty industry. I have used many of them and most are great. One of them is this Rimmel London #Insta Fix & Go. It is a 2 in 1 product – Primer and Setting Spray. It keeps the makeup in place for up to 8 hours.

These makeup products are all amazing. They help my makeup stay on for as long as I need it too and they are all quite affordable. Have you used any of them?

Product Review: MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base and Clarins Exfoliating Cleanser

I have used both the MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base and Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser with Orange Extract for some time now, and I think they are worth writing about.

MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base

I apply this MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base first before applying my lipstick. I have used it for years now, and I think it is one of the best lip primers at the moment.

Here is the product description –

  6. I like the compact size, so easy to pop in a small bag.
  7. It is available to buy at many beauty shops for £14.

CONS

None.

I can’t fault this product at all. I recommended to anyone dealing with dry lips, or struggling to apply matte lipsticks. This MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base is all you need.

Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser with Orange Extract

I use this Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser once a week, and I have done so for a few weeks now.

Here is the product description –

The bi-phase scrub both cleanses and exfoliates, gently removing everything that makes the skin look dull, leaving the skin smooth, soft and luminous. Orange extract works to soften, refresh and revive. Moringa Seed extract, with anti-pollution benefits, purifies and refines the skin and helps to restore its natural radiance. Gentle Silica Microbeads tackle clogged pores, exfoliate and renew. The exfoliating scrub leaves skin comfortable and ultimately refreshed. Suitable for all skin types.

  1. It stings the eyes if they come in contact, so do not apply around the eye area.

I love this Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser. I love how it makes my skin glow. I do recommend it and I can see myself using this product for many years to come.
