This floral signature fragrance smells divine! La Vie Est Belle’ is a French expression meaning life is beautiful. And life is indeed beautiful if you walk around smelling like a million bucks!

CONS

None. I can’t fault this perfume at all.

Lacoste Touch of Pink – £29 – £55

This fragrance is a lot less serious than the Lancôme La Vie Est Belle and a lot cheaper. It is a vibrant and youthful fragrance worth trying.

Lacoste Touch of Pink has both sweet and floral elements which make it a great perfume for young women. It features top notes of Orange, Coriander, Cardamom, Peach and Blood Orange, heart notes of Jasmine, Violet Leaf and Carrot Seeds and base notes of Sandalwood, Musk and Vanilla.

Product Review – Björk & Berries White Forest Eau de Parfum

I am a proud perfume addict. You can easily catch me at the perfume counter in a department store, sniffing away various fragrances. For a perfume lover like myself, I have sniffed all sorts of scents. So it came as a surprise to me, that I was blown away by how lovely this Björk & Berries White Forest Eau de Parfum was.

I got this perfume from Sweden some weeks ago. This was my first time trying a product by Björk & Berries, and I am glad I got this golden opportunity. It is a perfume I know I would be trying again for sure.

Here is the perfume description –

White Forest is a sensual and melodramatic perfume of wood and fresh forest air – an exciting and mysterious scent of the deep Swedish forest that includes birch and pine.

Top: Orange, Rhubarb, Blackcurrant
Heart: Birch extract, Balsam Fir, Pink Freesia, Violet
Base: Vetiver, Cedar, Tonka bean

Here are my thoughts on this Björk & Berries White Forest.

PROS
  1. It smells amazing. I love the floral woody fragrance a lot.
  2. The fragrance is quite unique. It is not an everyday kind of scent, and I like that about it.
  3. I like the perfume bottle. There is something quite masculine about it. I guess that is what I like about it.
  4. It is quite affordable at €79 for a 50ml bottle.

Product Review: MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base and Clarins Exfoliating Cleanser

I have used both the MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base and Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser with Orange Extract for some time now, and I think they are worth writing about.

MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base

I apply this MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base first before applying my lipstick. I have used it for years now, and I think it is one of the best lip primers at the moment.

Here is the product description –

A colour-free lipstick base that adds light moisture, smoothes and refines the lips. Improves the appearance of the applied lip products.

PROS

  1. My lips tend to get really dry, this moisturises my lips perfectly!
  2. My lipstick stays on all day without needing a top up, and without cracks, thanks to this fab lip base.
  3. It can be used alone as a lip balm.
  4. It has a lovely texture and smells good too.
  5. A little is all that is needed.
  6. I like the compact size, so easy to pop in a small bag.
  7. It is available to buy at many beauty shops for £14.

CONS

None.

I can’t fault this product at all. I recommended to anyone dealing with dry lips, or struggling to apply matte lipsticks. This MAC Prep + Prime Lip Base is all you need.

Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser with Orange Extract

I use this Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser once a week, and I have done so for a few weeks now.

Here is the product description –

The Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser with Orange Extract is a spa-fresh exfoliating facial cleanser that polishes-away make-up, embedded impurities and spent surface cells in one time-saving step to reveal the glowing skin beneath. The bi-phase scrub both cleanses and exfoliates, gently removing everything that makes the skin look dull, leaving the skin smooth, soft and luminous. Orange extract works to soften, refresh and revive. Moringa Seed extract, with anti-pollution benefits, purifies and refines the skin and helps to restore its natural radiance. Gentle Silica Microbeads tackle clogged pores, exfoliate and renew. The exfoliating scrub leaves skin comfortable and ultimately refreshed. Suitable for all skin types.

PROS

  1. I love the compact packaging.
  2. It smells amazing, I could sniff the orange scent all day.
  3. It is a great multi-tasking product – Cleansing and Exfoliating at the same time.
  4. It is great for all skin types.
  5. It is easily available to buy at many beauty shops for £21 for a 100ml.
  6. It leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and clean.
  7. You only need a small amount, a little goes a long way.

CONS

  1. It stings the eyes if they come in contact, so do not apply around the eye area.

I love this Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser. I love how it makes my skin glow. I do recommend it and I can see myself using this product for many years to come.
