I will be featuring regular posts on this section and they will be all about how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I have always been interested in health and wellness, and I have featured many posts on the topic on Fashion and Style Police over the years.
My interest has increased even more now with me paying more attention to my health, going vegetarian, using only natural skin and hair products, eating organic as much as possible, and studying psychology with a particular interest in clinical health psychology. In this new blog category, I will be featuring posts with tested tips to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle. Also, I will be promoting and selling natural products you could implement into your lifestyle to help maintain and improve your overall health. So keep reading.
What is health?
“A state of complete physical, mental and social. well-being and not merely the absence of. disease or infirmity” – WHO Constitution
I like this definition from the World Health Organisation because it covers all parts of our being. Good health is not just the absence of disease. Health is more than that. It covers our physical, mental, emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Many people only focus on their physical, ignoring all the other bits until they rise up to the front due to a disorder and can no longer be ignored. Good health means all parts of your being are in a healthy state, which should be the goal.
I am excited to embark on this new journey and share my knowledge and experience. It is possible to maintain a healthy lifestyle. These 5 steps to mental wellbeing by NHS is a great guide to get your mental well-being on point.
